TGS disabled the hypnotize martyr trick?
When playing Emilia, hundreds of enemies just seem like breeze once she learned hypnotize+martyr. Simply hypnotize an enemy stack and martyr it to protect Emilia, and the battle is pretty much done. I tried the same trick with Bohb, since he is so unforgivably weak, but it seems you can only martyr the top unit of the stack or the effect of martyr last only as long as the enemy unit is still under hypnotize. Has anyone found out how exactly does it work in TGS? Of course one could use the ultimate move hypnotize+sacrifice, but that's just a pain, if possible at all, to get. Or has TGS banned hypnotize+sacrifice as well?

Now I've figured that out. In TGS martyr only works on friendly targets (including enemies under hypnotize effect, but once hypnotize ends, martyr ends), so no more hypnotize+martyr tricks. The sad part is, hypnotize+sacrifice trick has been disabled as well. Personally I never used sacrifice in Homm4 original, but I think I read somewhere that it used to work on enemies under hypnotize in the original version.

Yeah I think that correctly describes it. So when Hypnotize ends, it ends.

I remember when playing Emilia in the original version, Emilia alone could defeat the ~90 Titans guarding the mind shield easily with hypnotize+martyr. I guess now she needs to pair up with one other creature so the titans split into two groups and she can hypnotize both of them and let them attack each other. But that's really a challenge to her spell points.

I've found the "Create Illusion" and "forgetfullnes" spells very effective when playing Emilia and Solymr.
Get a bunch of genies, som dragon golems and the two heroes and you can actually beat anything that stands in your way - I've yet to loose a single character in the last scenario, not even against the titans - If I didn't want too - no, I do not mind to load "autosave this turn/last turn
And I've played it on the easy levels as well as the hardest.
I never found out, that you could actually use the hypotize like that

In the last map of a 8 map campaign, it's possible (and I prefer) to play without any army ... even in champion level.

the best use I found for sacrifice was to have a single level 1 unit (preferably one who can be useful alone, like leprechaun or imp) and sacrifice it to revive a hero.
