so, what you're saying is, and you're speaking for everyone on this site(?), is that because "everyone has a bootleg version" of the software needed to help, that no one can help? that doesn't make any sense at all. i'm not asking for the program, i'm asking for the help.

if i could find the bootleg program online, i would have already installed it, and did the work myself. but i don't use torrent sites, they come with viruses that can eat a computer alive. i know, i used to use torrents, and they crashed 2 hard drives of 2 different computers.

what does morality have to do with getting help, anyway?

they are just color changes. removing the background, then the shadow, then making the color changes to the creatures themselves. i will post it in my thread later on, once i have compiled everything. i wasn't going to bother, it didn't look like anybody was going to help.

ok, i am trying to change the color teal to black, in game. i have already done all the work for both the teal stuff in h3bitmap and h3sprite. but in game, i still have a teal interface border. is there a palette that i need to mess with or something? has anybody else ever tried to change the colors and came up with the same problem?

EDIT: also, why is this thread not stickied?

EDIT: fixed last problem. i was wrong about where the color was located too, i should've used common sense seeing that there wasn't 8 colors where i was specified before.

I edited game.pal with Photoshop.
If you don't want to buy download it, try to search palette editors, I saw many of them.

EDIT: found a program that works, and with a little tinkering of the colors, i was able to make black. for some reason, if you try using all 0's(for straight black) you get a see-thru flag. this happens even if you use 1's instead. so i tried just using sat 0 and brightness 5, and it worked. i now have an all-black player. thanks again, oxfea.

btw, (and i already know you know this, oxfea, i'm telling everybody else) the colors for the players adventure map are here:

How do I input the def's and stuff into the game to overwrite or as a new creature? I already have the defs and bitmap because the unit is from the Ripped Units thread, but how do I input it ingame?

In Era/tools folder, use DefKa, it will add both def after you specify which monster to replace.

Erm and scripts with ERA2.43

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer one or more of the questions below.

I understand modders being proud/excited with their invention, but many have gone overboard either in being overpowered or flooding the map with their invention on XL maps, like having 7 Death Chambers all in 1 screenshot. So I want to reduce the frequency they appear but I'm not sure what to change.  I've read the ERM help & assume it's in the variables page, but I'm missing it there or in the script.  ERM threads 99+ pages long is searching for a needle in a haystack unsure if what I'm looking for is even there.  A Search of 'frequency' didn't turn up anything.  If I could see it done with 1 script I could probably figure out how to change it in other scripts.

1>As an example, what would I change in the Spellbook replacing scroll script or the Death Chamber script to reduce how frequent they replace an item?

1>One of the scripts I would like change is 'Script42-Garrisons' as even on the minimum "Few" option there are too many.  Has the prior bug been fixed so a player's creatures in a garrison won't grow every week as if it was a neutral?

2>What if I want to change which objects are replaced?

3>I see all the scripts renamed in ERA, but I don't see script00 anymore or script140(new creature dwellings).  Can either of those scripts still be changed?

4>Also does anyone know which scripts help only human players and can something be added so the AI could still get something (gold, resources, whatever)?

5>Has the WoG Luck script been fixed in ERA or does it still make the game crash and therefore best to just use original H3 Luck?

6>I installed ERA 2.43 and Fred79 ObjectPatch.  We don't mind the altered treant creatures and some others, but prefer some of the original Heroes3 & WOG graphics (did Sacred Phoenixes always have bright pink toenails?).  Shouldn't these graphic changes be a separate mod or a WoG/ERA option or did Fred79 ObjectPatch do that?  I already removed the Yona mod, but how do I remove these new graphics to get the old WoG creature pictures back?

1) I don't understand. What spellbook?
2-3) Script 78 wogify.erm deals with percentage of replacing objects. Inside you can change values. In era only scripts numbers changed, the process of customizing them remains as in wog, with the advantage now that you can create your own mod, thus let original wog unchanged.
4) Every thing you want to add for human or AI can be scripted in your mod, using custom scripts which will load combined to wog scripts or not.
5) So far I recall that sometimes drinking a potion of luck made the battle crash, if you can provide a save of this, then can be fixed.(@Edit: it was fixed)
6) Bersy choose to replace a few creatures graphics for era. But there is unhotify mod which reverts all to original, one click to use. So far, Yona has nothing to do with graphics but provide excellent additional informations during battle and it is compatible with every mod.

I think he means the spell books that are placed randomly on map replacing the scrolls during wogification. He wants less spell books generated cause he thinks too much free spell is unbalancing the game.

That is script 51 but I guess the frequency might be edited through wogification script not 51.
