I believe its important to mention what size the maps should be if players cant agree. I suggest 2sm4d(3) is L + U, 8mm6 XL + U, Balance L, Jebus Cross XL and Panic L.

ohh i forgot to add template's sizes in english version of site. Panic L-U 130%, 8mm6 XL+U 160%, Balance L-U 130%, 2sm4(d)3 L+U 160%, Jebus Cross XL-U 130%. it will be added in english version soon.

And when will the time for game will be set at rules? Will be arguments if there isn't specific time for all to follow, 6 min or 8 min...

It dosent seem clear to me who should start eliminating templates. Its not clear either who should choose town/color first in each of the 3 possible games.
Can we play by diffrent rules and setup if both players agree?

This looks quite interesting, I didn't know that any danes were this good and seeing Maretti apparently is the former champion is very impresive versus the big eastern and especially russian dominance.
AlexTheGreat seems to have won every game, that's quite impressive, though Maretti really showed that he were no pushover practically defeating every poor guy ATG threw at him, too bad for Maretti that even at his second attempt, he lost again.
I wonder, what big names were missing? I can see angelito wasn't there, I don't know if he'd have been able to defeat AlexTheGreat, but it could be nice with some kind of idea if this really was the best of the best of players that you can find these days, or if under other circumstances many of these players would be chanceless?
Anyway, congratulations to Maretti with the nice achievement!

I stopped playing online 3 years ago when my daughter was born, so I am pretty sure I wouldn't have won a single game in that tournament.
I remember the time when maretti "entered" the online world on zone.com. His experience since these days rose enormousely, so even if I would still be active, I wouldn't win more than 2 games out of ten, if at all. So maretti is the best opponent for AtG I have knowledge of.

Thank you for elaborating, it's nice to have some kind of idea of the quality of the turnament.
With that said, I've looked a good bit on the two first games, I suppose it's stated that AtG won 2-0, because Maretti, arriving from the looser bracket, needed 3 wins, started with a score of -1 and as such his first win turned the score even at 0-0?
I had really hoped I'd get to see some awesome demon farming in the second game, with the inferno, but going for a necropolis tactic really showed an incredible power, I'd almost say it was overpowered.
Anyway, it's quite nice to see how effective gaming is done, and many details I'd have never thought of really did impress me. Too bad with the quality of the videos that made it quite hard for me to always figure out what exactly was going on, but I think I had the general idea most of the time.
Thanks for sharing.

@OhforfSake: Thank you for the nice words. I wonder why you think its so special that I come from Denmark? This is the first time the world cup has been played, so im not the former champion.
I think it was most of the best players in the world that participated. There wasnt anyone special that I felt was missing anyway.
I didnt win any games in the final. First game I got hopeless area and the game only got close because he for some strange reson decided to clear the little part of the desert that was close to my area instead of clearing the rest of the desert, to which he had a clear headstart, and would have given a very clear win.
Second game he got Isra who is one of the 2 heroes who, I think most people agree, are pretty overpowered on panic. So not much of a chance there too.
That ment that the final was over but he decided to give me another chance since maps in the first 2 games had been to his favor. We played 8mm6 which im not that experienced on, so I took a chance that turned out to be a mistake and lost that one too.
Ofcourse theres allways luck involved in H3 but overall I think it was well deserved that Alex won the tournament.

First of all congrats on getting to the final
I watched the first game flux vs rampart.
a bit of a pity that even at this level players can't get past patch differences and you end up with one playing sod and the other playing wt.
a weird game to say the least from what i could see with my limited experience.I think Alex took advantage of the map better and got lucky with having a fortress to upgrade wiverns whereas you got the master genies block which kept you blocked for more than needed and not a great area
One question for you:I looked into that thread with probabilities of being offered a magic school and never quite got how it actually works and what you should pick.as you said yourself at the end of the game you got offered water magic 5 times( but never took it waiting for earth/air)
I always thought you take any magic school when you get offered it especially with a class like rangers that can't get fire and eventually you will get the one you need too
If you have some time can you explain how this works in a typical online game?

First of all, we both played SOD.
About that water magic: ofcourse the safe way to play it is to take water at lvl 4 and then you can be sure to get earth or air later on, but with Mephala you allready have one wasted skill with leadership, so I took the chance on not getting another one. You have a 57% chance of getting earth or air every 4 levels and on jebus where there is so much xp to get it should be possible to get enough xp for exp earth or air (or hopefully both) later on. Also if you take water and you are offered another good skill next time you are offered magic (adv water) it can take really long time before you get exp earth or air, since you in most cases have to have exp water before you (4 levels later) are offered basic earth or air.
