MMArchive v1.0.2 [April 6]
Here is my archive editor: Link. It supports all Heroes 3 formats. You can use it instead of ResEdit2.

MMArchive v1.0.1 is released:
[-] MMArchive couldn't find palettes for variations of some sprites.
[-] After picking def type filter and opening archive without Def files no files were shown.

As GrayFace said, you can use it instead of ResEdit2 to open Heroes 3 files (.lod, .snd, .vid).

i am able to recolour a object or battlefield but i am unable to put it in game or back in the MMarchive.
help?

Open the archive, then drag and drop the file into MMArchive window.

An update. Version 1.0.3.
Fixed bugs:
[-] Double click on file resulted in an error
[-] Pressing any key while extension filter is focused triggered an exit
