Nintendo DS - Lite vs DSi
Hey
Can someone give me the specific DIFFERENCES between Lite & DSi
What are the major differences between them - is it unwise to buy Lite with the DSi out there? Any game differences? Will the Lite version be outdated or worse than the DSi in lets say a year?
And if I say I can get a Lite about 1/3 the price as the DSi.

DSi = no GBA slot, a somewhat better wlan, a tad more powerful(which really means that it is equal to DSlite + extension, so blah)
DSlite = If its 1/3 of the price, buy!

okay - so DSlite is just fine  Great lovely - If anyone wanna protest do so now -  Or within 10days
Oh and I explained it pretty badly
I can get a DSlite that costs 600kr aprox. and a DSi for 900kr aprox.
That means I get 1/3 of the price

First of all, that means the DSlite costs 2/3 of the price of the DSi.
Second of all, As far as I know, the DSlite doesn't have a GBA slot either.
Third of all, I own a DSi, it's great, got a helluva lot of feateures, free internet (not 100% sure about this tbh) and I recall it's got a somewhat bigger screen too.
IMO if the DSi only costs 300kr more then go for that one.
EDIT: forgot to mention you can download thousands of apps for the DSi.
EDIT2: ok the DSlite's got a GBA slot but, it can't play games online, only via short range connection, the DSi can play online, the DSI's got a camera, got a special sound recorder program, can use headphones.

I found an offer on Ebay where I get 40games with the DS lite - for 700kr..

Blah, everone gets the DS for the SD catrigdes anyhow. I think the DSi is properly "hacked" at the moment, which means its a good purchase regardless.

Do I really need the camera?! It is just a camera, I don't think I will use it.
And the lites are way cheaper. And I want to use my old GBA so I can trade stuff from old Pokemon games for example?
I dont think I will be using the extra features.
The Wi-fi is the only thing that appeals me.

It's not only a camera, it basicly got photoshop lite installed in it!
But if you get 40 games for just 100 kr extra when you buy the DSlite, then buy it as quick as possible.

If you've got WEP security on your wireless internet (or no security at all) either will work. If you've got WPA, go with the DSi because I can say from personal experience that the DSLite can't use that kind.

Okay - So You basicly say DSi, but what about my old GBA games ? are they just useless?
(that offer with 40 games was from Hong Kong and I have to pay extra when it hit customs.)

The DSi doesn't have a port for using the GBA games, so no, you can't use GBA games on the DSi.
But it got some features that the DSlite doesn't. And I havn't tried connecting over Wi-fi with it yet, only played a little wireless with another DSi nearby, so I don't know about that.

I'll take the DSI - There is no problem afterall anyway
BUT!!
The next DS machine the 3DS - will that require new games?! And render the DSi useless?!
