Innovation played really nicely. Overall great games even though flash and life both failed from positions even I could have won. Bad choices for going forward with the new units, just not right composition. Perhaps they were too stuck on doing that one strat.
And what the hell were those two life games, why did he do such all-ins after the initial success? When I saw him add more lings both times I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, what are you doing? Are you stupid? At least develop to banes so you can crush the walls!"
Also the double evos down when he knew PartinG had 7 sentries? No-no, that's a good way to lose the game. Need ranged, not better melee.
All in all, life and flash let me down, innovation played great after he got it rolling. PartinG was a hit and miss, so much fail against life in the start, but then excellent judgement on econ against flash. Really beautiful feeding him mostly zealots for time and harbouring the gas to keep the army growing. I had this wicked laugh when flash realised what was going on and starting walking into storms to do countergasdamage.

Idra goes insane macro mode, gets up to six bases in a ridiculously short time and dominates, only to stall in the midgame and keep losing a base in the upper corner due to drops. Then, the game still mostly even, but Idra no longer crushing... he ragequits. Classic.
EDIT: 2-0 Polt! Idra goes in for a roach-bane all in, all the banelings get roasted by helions and Idra rage quits. Hilarious.

edit:
IdrA did 1A with his banes instead of targeting a depot, that's a silver level mistake rofl
Nah, did you hear about his ladder games against Byun?
He lost the game on ladder against Byun to Reaper harass, then next game, he was playing against Byun again on the ladder, when he saw first Reaper, he said "F**K YOU!" and left the game, and after that Byun wrote in the chat "EZIdra".
I laughed.
Idra is great macro player, but his way of thinking is way too narrow in my opinion. He isn't creative player, he admits, he likes to play standard, or to use some good build that other have created, which isn't that bad after all, but he doesn't know to react properly to uncommon situations, which leads to bad decisions and just awful play by him. And after all, he is blaming balance for everything, and he gives up way too easy.

IdrA is not even a shade of what he was.
Nowadays is a stupid, whiny child who only knows to macro like a robot. He doesn't know how to engage, really.
Another example. Demusilm, another player from his same team. IdrA said this to him ===> http://i.imgur.com/c7IsCys.jpg
(And left the game after saying that, ofc).
Just look what he said after last night games ===> http://i.imgur.com/FgezXgU.jpg
Edit: Aaaand EG release IdrA, good and fair move

Agree that he isn't as good as he was, but whole SC2 evolved a lot, the things that FruitDealer was doing are considered amazing, but are nothing right now. A lot of things have changed, but Idra stayed the same, and that is the problem.

"I get paid to treat you like this" was too much for EG it seems. It was so stupid, I watched Demuslim stream and all was fine except when he went against his own teammate Idra and gets just trashtalked and left after 2 seconds of game. Good riddance Idra.

Now that you are here, any thoughts on the GSL quarter-finals? I have somehow managed to miss all of Roros games so I don't know what to expect. But I am waiting for the Roro-Innovation match. And sOs is another player I have only seen a few games from, but those were GREAT. ^^ Soulkey style is also just awesome

It's damn stacked, but I'd say the big contenders are Soulkey, sOs, RorO and INnoVation.
INnoVation looks scary, the other day himself all-killed EG-TL, and remenber he won 4-0 in the sickiest Group of Death ever!
RorO is the current champion, don't need to say more.
sOs is one of the best players of the Proleague (18-8 record in first 3 rounds), but he only played 2 matches in the current round, he must be preparing the GSL very heavily.
Soulkey is 7-1 in the current round of the Proleague, pretty sick
I don't really think Symbol/Parting can make to the finals, TBH. But we'll see

But Stephano departure is known, he always said he used SC2 as a way to earn money and pay later his career (medicine?).
And he said he'd leavin Sc2 in six months back in last march. Is not new really.

Symbol is officially the most hated player now The games were hilarious to see at this level. Though I guess it could have only worked against Bomber. Roach-baning all game! every game! yoloo
Good thing is that now we have Terran Hero Innovation vs Zerg Villain Symbol. To me that is entertainment, no matter how onesided.

3/4 players at semifinals belong to a KeSPA team. It wasn't 4/4 because we had an eSF vs eSF match?
INnoVation looked unstoppable, I really hope he wins this GSL
PS: LucifroN beating everybody at WCS Europe, 8-0 between both group stages and including an impressive 2-0 to Mvp himself!

I am rooting for Innovation as well. Even though Terran is my least favourite race.
As for Soulkey vs sOs, can't decide who I want in the finals. On the other hand Soulkey has beaten Innovation, so there would be nice tension! But sOs has slowly but steadily rising in my ranks, his games have been absolutely great. And Innovation has almost only faced Zerg. Leaning towards sOs slightly ^^

Yeah, they really hate Symbol on TL. It is really funny, because he is more than capable of playing a macro game, he is just using Nyduses and Roach/Bane all-ins because Terran players are way too greedy. And it worked against Bomber, I am pretty sure that he will do different strategy against Innovation. Still, with how good Innovation currently is, it will probably be 4-2 for Innovation.

I am Zerg, so naturally I am looking forward Soulkey in the finals. Not only because he is the Zerg, but because ZvT is currently the most fun match-up, always active, entertaining, and Soulkey is not like other Zerg players, the only Zerg that was able to beat Innovation so far. sOs is great too, but TvP is pretty stale match-up and sOs seems a bit inexperienced, his games against LosirA weren't that good, so I don't know how much of a chance he got against Zerg like Soulkey.

I agree that why wouldn't one do all-ins like that when someone is greedy. I had fun watching but even MORE fun reading TL haha.
ZvP is my favourite matchup, because it seems most diverse. A lot of styles for both races.

It is true that in ZvP there aren't cookie-cutter builds like in ZvT where both races are doing the same thing most of the time, but there is still a lot of camping happening, transitioning into late game ZvP, where it is mass Colossi/Templars/Void Rays against Mass Corruptors and Swarm Hosts with Vipers and Infestors, together with mass Spines and Spores. Even though I love Swarm Hosts, when it comes to this point, match becomes pretty hard to watch because most of the time Protoss just keeps killing Locusts, and nothing is happening until everything mined-out. Right now, we saw only few 40+ Minutes games on pro level, and I think all of them were ZvP.
But when it comes to diversity, indeed ZvP is the best match-up, and when both races are active(Warp Prism drops with Phoenixes against Ling run-bys, Nydus, Drops from Zerg, Roach/Hydra/Swarm Hosts aggression or Mutas) it is still very good match to watch.
