If I'm not mistaken, is not only lower economy (and lower macro mechanics too), but also they changed the mining so expanding and getting more bases rewards you more than sitting of fewer ones. And that it's a problema in SC2 (3 bases are enough for minerals).
This Sunday Razer is organizing a StarBow tournament with 500$ of prizepool, and I think ESL has started with some small cups and such too. I don't know when the SBow hype train will end, but for know I'm happy to see the community watching something different from HotS

(this quarter I only had class 2 days/week, I'm not used to this).

I really hope that Blizzard take a good look at this and change something in LotV.

Eh, go look at the vods. The parts don't fit together right, all the small things disrupt the game making. It doesn't seem or feel fluid.

I've seen many VODs, and was watching live Idra vs. TT1 yesterday. I will be honest, it doesn't feel as fluid as SC2, but it feels good, battles are enjoyable to watch.
This is just a mod, so in my opinion it is a great mod, a lot of work was done for this. Whole point of this mod isn't to replace SC2, but to give Blizzard some ideas about it, how game can look with this kind of pathing, economy, aggressive harassment etc. and hopefully, LotV will be a lot better game than HotS(I don't think that HotS is bad game, it is great, just think that it can be a lot better with some minor design improvements).

Change that Blizzard with SC2 Community and you nailed it 
It's like asking this mod to have spectacular graphics, it would be stupid, imo. But as all about merging some ideas in order to make the game better is a success, imo. And let's not forget is a beta either (so stuff like mines can still be changed).
