Redesigned Conflux Town
Hey,
I'm planning on redesigning the conflux town and essentially making my own town.
So far my creature list is...
1. Sprite (Flyer - I love them and it fits in theme)
2. Satyr (Walker)
3. Spitting Cobra (Shooter)
4. Owlbear (Walker)
5. Druid (Shooter)
6. Giant Bat (Flyer)
7. ???
I have the ERM Scripter which looks like it makes custom scripts so I'd be able to make these changes pretty earily w/o much work. I'm only going to do attributes at first and then work on monster pictures.
When I have the scripts to change the monster, who do I make a custom script so I can select/deselect it in WoG options? I'm a newb at ERM and I'm looking for something fun to do to try to get better.

Well my friends and I don't have much liking for the Conflux town so I decided to attempt to redesign it.
I like the Necropolis.
Edit: 5th level creature is going to be a Druid (shooter)
I think the 7th level will be a Walker since the majority are flyers (only one shooter but this town already has 2 shooters).
Not sure what it should be though...
Maybe a Giant Wolf? Like Fenrir?

Well, all I can do is wish you good luck  . If you need help, I could extract the Satyr from Heroes 4?

Judging by the ERM Script program I have, editting creatures doesn't take that long.
I'm planning on leaving the graphics all the same (at least for now).
I just need basic info on ERM. Like, where do I put the scripts I make? How do I make a custom script under WoG settins so it can be checked and unchecked.
Doesn't seem too difficult to change the stats of the creatures.

Thanks for letting me know where to put the scripts. What's an .ert file?
I'm reading the ERM for Dummies right now.
After I've written a few scripts I'd like to know more about the .ers files.

Changing the stats of the Air/Water Elementals to what a Satyr and it's upgraded form would be.
Upon saving the script and looking it over... looks like the elementals still have the lightning x2 and meteor immune abilities.
Any help to remove those and other conflux creatures abilities?

Ideas, plans... I once had idea to remake magic system from elements based to effect based (blessings school, curses school, destruction school, etc...) but it's only idea. I don't have any graphics for this and I don't think I'll start this "project" in near future.
Replacing, or even redesigning a town isn't simple thing. It's a lot of hard work, for example, I'm making other replacement for Conflux, if anybody is interested...

Town screen needs to be completely redone.
1 and 4 level will be replaced, I have no idea for 7 level.
And don't think I started it yesterday. I'm doing this for a year, but no end in sight. Propably it'll be never finished.

Can you elaborate on that?
So far everything is working fine.
1/2 done with the creatures base stats and then I'll work on the stack experience (which is going to take awhile).
I need to change a few creatures because I need to include a shooter it's a recolored Zealot so shouldn't be that hard to make.

If you're only going to be negative, you can go post somewhere else.
Edit:
I've editted the stats for the creature levels 2-6 to where I'd like them to be.
I'll read more about editting creatures tomorrow so I can change the 5th level creature to a shooter and 6th into a flyer.
The Giant Bat is now going to be a Bat Swarm and I'm still leaning towards a wolf to be the 7th level.
I think the owlbears will cast bloodlust every round as their ability... I'm trying to think of a way where there attack increases every turn (not by a drastic amount) but so far all I can come up with is bloodlust and I believe multiple casts don't stack.

As far as I see this "new" Conflux isn't for download yet (and won't be in the nearest future...) and Asylum (OTHER project, who else doing it...) isn't for download too...

No. I am always negative when somebody posts something stupid like that.
You just prove that you're doing nothing but asking for help. That just doesn't make any sense - it's like "I have and idea, but I need you to do all work". Do you know how many projects like that were being "developed"? Hundreds of hundreds. Do you know how many of them were finished? None.
You say "it shouldn't". But did you try it? I guess not. Why? Because you don't why and you are too lazy to check this out? Or maybe because there must be somebody that will make all stuff just for you?
Next time do ANYTHING, give us screens or something (just like Trith) and THEN ask for help. Or do like New Grove Team - make all stuff without saying anything and then release it. That would be great surprise, wouldn't it?

Instead of wasting everyones time with your negativity, maybe you actually could help the guy out. How do you expect to be able to even TRY to start a project if you're all alone in it. Like the guy said, if that's all you're going to do, be negative, then maybe post elsewhere.
