What I hate about Heroes
Tradition. It sucks (as usual).
Whatever H6 does, more or less the same Haven faction is going to be in it. There are veritably infinite possibilities for factions, yet you find the same core factions in each new Heroes games.

They've changed Dungeon... and Sylvan... and now they're changing Necro (kinda)...

changed tehm...yeah...
an original, unusual, rather unique Rampart/Nature into a wide-used Elven faction called sylvan, not more much different from WH-fantasy or warcraft... and that's euphemistic. I feel Sylvan more "stolen" from those, while in it's style etc, I found Rampart rather unquie, and nature, too, though in a different way.
For Dungeon...well if it's NOT stolen from WH-fantasy dark elves then I don't knwo anything anymore. I don't see ONE unit not resembled, often almost 1-1 in the tabletop game (and that IS much older  ) except the minotaur.
the necro changes this time SEEM to be better, up to know, but sure I am certainly not.

It'll be interesting to see what factions they include, and what they do to them. Haven especially since those guys have changed barely a jot over the years, and Sylvan and Barbarian aren't too far behind (same theme, similar units, etc.). Dungeon's changed a bit more, but even that's still hung strong to a few of its units (minotaur and dragon, and hydra in everything except H3).

what I hate are.....Dark elves Stupid,how about dark humans or dark dwares and how about.....Light undeads or Light Demons It's  .When there are so many races who want to recome in heroes,like troglodytes,beholders,lizardmen etc. They made a weak copy of elves!Forest elves are enough for me.

^^have you guys watched the altar int he last months? XD I give us one day 'til bixie or me make the EoMM spinoff
I, myself, am for using 3 elven types at most, but 2 at least...but then I also want not all humans put together almost only in haven/castle faction! I, for one, would LIKE a dark haven faction with evil humans!!!

I hate the fact that we will have only 5 factions in h6(or at least that is what I heard). This is far away from enough!

I don't know why there even has to be a Castle/Haven, Nature, and Necropolis as we know them. Why do all the undead creatures have to be conveniently stuffed into a giant undead faction every single time?
Why can't there be banshees and wraiths in with a faction of dark elves, living in the black forests. Or vampire lords and death knights being with an evil human empire with Gothic structures. Etc. I'm just naming some examples among countless possibilities. But there's always so much of the same. The only "core" faction that has actually showed a somewhat decent amount of diversity is the heavy magic faction (Tower, Order, Academy).

I kind of agree, but I'm more tired of demons and necromancers, they are so uninspired. Then again I'd be upset if elves or wizards were out, I don't mind having them over and over again.
Not sure if there are endless possibilities for factions though, even a game like Disciples uses the same factions except the wizards...

There are only so many ways to make a medieval human town.
Haven should stay roughly the same (although I'm open to the idea of replacing griffins and/or angels), but there should be other human towns.
I want a Forge town.

Enroth had established factions and alliances between different races. Plus each faction had a specific theme.
However, there have been plenty of creature migrations. Warlocks had Hydras in Heroes 1 and 2, then Hydras moved to Fortress, then they moved back to Asylum. Wizards had Rocs in Heroes 2, then Rocs/Thunderbirds moved to Stronghold. Phoenixes were with the Sorceresses except for a little vacation to the Conlfux in Heroes 3.

Frankly if I saw a goblin with a rocket launcher on the adventure map in a single scenario I'd be turned off and lose every bit of immersion I had.

Fair enough. I agree by the way. Unless it's very archaic steampunk and ramshackle. Something like that would totally break the atmosphere of the game.
