i do not recieve any error messages of any kind at any point (once i have a multiplayer version/patch of the game installed)
i can select multiplayer and after that host join blah blah
all options r available to me "without" problems
yet there r no lan servers showing no matter wat i press, no matter how many times, there is nothing
there r no servers of any kind at all showing...
all i can go on myself is that wen i open the gamespy app i am given an error notifications i shall display its contents below
"Proxy or Firewall Detected
Your computer's internal IP address (192.168.1.2) is
different than its externally known IP address
(81.105136.19). This may be due to an firewall, NAT
proxy or other unusual network configuration, and it
prevents most games from working properly as a host.
You will probably not be able to host any rooms
unless you are the DMZ host on your network. Contact
you ISP or network administrator for your information.
You can disable this notification by turning off the firewall setting
in the options dialog."
just incase... i have virgin bb via a dlink dsl2640R router
if anyone has any ideas or information.. all will be gladly accepted
i also offer my computer to be used remotely by a person willing to to try ect..

Are you trying to play a game with friends on lan?
There are no online servers in homm4, so if you try to find opponents through the game its useless.
Everyone who plays the game finds opponents through msn, and use hamachi for "lan". even gamespy is dead.

im tryin to play the game in anyway i can (multiplayer ofcorse)..
i seem to be havin this same problem with other multiplayer games that run with similar "ideas" such as AOE2 and its msn gameZone feature (similar t the gamespy feature for homm4)
AOE2 also runs lan games ect in a similar way
i also tried to play homm3 multiiplayer games.... same problems .. yet i see no problems .. jus no games showing..
i can however play other multiplayer games, games that seem to be more proffessionally made, games without these simple lan ect features..
calling isp.
thanx 4 ur interest+time

No what I meant was that the only way you can play homm is go to a forum, or for example a internet site where there is a list of msn messenger emails where you go and chat via messenger to your opponent and play through a program called hamachi. There is no "rooms" visible to anyone.. Never been.. It's always been either hamachi or gamespy.
