Guys, what is this behemoth hype?  I really don't get it. It's jsut...boring...just a cliché of monster & NOTHING but raw power. Fits to barabrain and is not a bad creature to exist but it ahs nothign AWESOME for me! Not to be compared to a magical, ressurecting flaming bird, which also is more classical!

Yeah but tell me if the phoenix isnt more repeated all over the games
The behemoth does what a hulking body of muscles and claws can do.

Yea, Phonix is stereotypical creature that belongs to +9000 games.
It just can't be the monster, who represents the series.
And Behemoth is pure original. I mean It has original design

Personally I think Titan.. at least that's what I have the most fond & fun memories of. Its also very imposing, strategically valuabe/interesting, has a nemesis (black dragon), and is an interesting mytical creature/god.
I too don't understand the hype with the Behemoth at all. Neat looking creature that fits in with the barbarians, but it is about as uncomplex as any creature can be, which isn't what I'd look for in a Tier 7.

Behemoth is far more original than Phoenix, and the Behemoth was an absolute combat monster in HIII.

if original would just mean "appereance in games/literature/etc.", maybe. But it's whole creation...but I don't want to discuss this here SO detailed It will stay a matter of opinion
...also, someone mentioned azure & megadragon here as best creatures...Can't second THAT, too. They were just overpowered dragons. VERY overpowered. I don't want to sound offending but best creature=most powerfull creature (this way also returning to the behemoth issue) is, for me, a very...well...boyish look at the world. I hope noone feels personally offended!!!!!! I jsut wanted to try to make clear what I think&feel & why I don't see it that way. AND, again, I also think the behemoth is cool. As well as the azure dragon. Yet, not the best^^

ikr? I will never get the appeal either. It's just a big lump of brute strength. Big deal. 
How anyone can deny the sheer *MAJESTY* of the two mostest epicest Magical creatures of all time (Phoenix/Unicorn) just defies all what's good and holy.

The MegaDragon had the most STUPID name of the HoMM history and looked like a fire-breathing diplodocus.
The azure dragon was really cool but look at this:
H1=1 dragon=good
H2=3 dragons=not bad
H3=4 dragons= humm...
H3 AB= 8 dragons= Oh my GOD!

- Black
- Red
- Ghost
- Bone
- Gold
- Green

I like the idea of Behemoths. An Immense, unadulterated beast of pure might than could tear down a castle if it wanted to. An icon of Stronghold. The Behemoth does not fly. The Behemoth has no magical abilities. The Behemoth has no special. The Behemoth is not fast. The Behemoth is might incarnate and that is why I love it, a huge monster, beyond the hugeness of any other of its tier.
HOMM3:
Looks frightning!!
When it walked, it sounded like it was walking on crushed bodies.
When it attacked, it sounded like it was tearing your bones out.
When it got hurt, it just snorted.
The upgrade was called Ancient Behemoth. That should be a rubbish name for an upgrade, but it worked! muchly!!
When it died, it disintergrated??? huh?
HOMM4:
When it walked, it sounded like it was wearing slippers. Who's idea was that?? my brother always said "soft feet soft feet soft feet" in rhythem to it's walkings.
All creatures had a special, what special could they give the Behemoth? they gave it 'Strength', which is a spell that makes you do more damage. Why couldn't it have just done more damage? I was afraid to ask such questions because the Behemoth might crush me.
This Behemoth had lost some awesomeness.
Still chose it over the Thunderbird though becasue it's THE BEHEMOTH!
HOMM5:
Replaced by cyclops 
Cyclops could easily be ripped apart by Behemoth
HOMM6:
I predict a very behemoth-free Stronghold if there ever is one. Nobody seems to appreciate him. Except on here.
Hydras a awesome monsters, but Titans just have something extra.

I think that the Behemoth-Hype is simply because they are level 7 creature that only appeared in 2 series (Read: Some people really miss the creature). Maybe if NWC Bring a new faction with Warewolf on it and didn't bring them to the next 2 series you will miss him in par with Behemoth and will choose it as your favorite creature in
It is like: You like Chocolate Ice Cream but somehow you moved into some place that no Ice Cream vendor around for the next 2 years you only found Candies, Pizzas, or Fried Chickens. So when there are pool about your favorite food you will Psychologically choose Ice Cream due to the "missing" feel on it.
As for me, my choice is tied between Dead/Dread Knight of H3' Necropolis (gotta love the dead blow animation on H3) or H5 Pit Fiend/Lord (Now in H6 is the champion, I can't be more happy). I guess that makes me a big fans of both Necropolis and Inferno. a little bit OT, H3 Inferno is such a boring faction but the gating in H5 had turned me from hater into fans of this faction.
