I think we have some serious misunderstanding here. I'm not against the imagination thing - on the contrary - and I'm certainly not opposed to the ideas posted in this or other similar topics (except the most ridiculous ones). My point was that there is no chance to see any of your proposals in the next Heroes game - especially when it comes to the already announced factions - so apart from sharing with the others what your dream faction(s) looks like, the topic is totally devoid of sense. If however this is the whole point - to share your vision of something without necessarily proposing it for the next game(s) - then it's my fault and I guess I have to apologize (a little) to whoever got offended - even though my purpose wasn't to offend anyone.

Who knows maybe Zenofex actually does look like this:

Quote: Well one of the factions is obvious. Its units not so much but someone here has made a couple good guesses.
..This probably doesn't help a lot, does it?
Not too much.
Mystery's good for us, though; keeps us guessing.
Also, oh god at the post above me, not Centaurs. Aaaagh, those things always creep me out so much in Fallout.

Lol I think that it is almost as disgusting looking as the breeder.
gotta love it.
As for new faction Ideas, I would really really like to see something a bit more scifi.
The Void
Before the hatching of the Primordial Egg, there was infinite emptiness. After the great battle between the primordial dragons, and the creation of the world of Ashan, the void became filled with what was exiled, or abandoned during the process. The creatures here not only survived in this environment, but learned to thrive and excel in it. they are a peaceful reclusive race who don't like to be bothered. Beware because while they are slow to call to action, their Wraith is mighty.
Alignment- Neutral
Motto - "The void is peace and calm, the world is violent and menacing. Avoid it at all costs"
Core:Exiled Ones- The Exiled Ones are the criminals and unfortunate that banished from society. In grand ancient rituals, they were placed in the void. These units are generally weak, they are a darker, less pathetic, peasant type unit. They are in black garb. Functionally they act as a canon fodder type unit. They aren't very fast and aren't very strong, but have relatively high defenses. The existing unit they are closest to functionally is probably the Gnoll in heroes III.
Wisps - This units share the incorporeal abilities that ghosts had in heroes 5. They are hard to hit and relatively quick strikers, but have low defenses.
-Gru - These creatures literally thrive in nothingness. They are simple shadow beasts that have relatively poor stats but inflict many a detrimental status upon enemy troops upon attack in battle.
Elite:Shadowmancers - These are basically silhouettes of a standard man, but they have a truly unique ability to once a battle literally teleport into the shadow of any unit on the battle field. While they are slow, with this ability they are a great shock force.
The Monolith - this unit is a giant white square inspired by a rather famous sci-fi film. While it doesn't move much at all, It is loaded with abilities. While in the void, it is able to teleport any creature on the battlefield to any location. This takes up its turn. Outside of the void it is a rather mediocre shooter with iron
defenses.
-Wisemen-The sages are units that not only survive but thrive in the
nothingness. They use their position in the emptiness to view as much
about the magical planes in the universe. They are in black robes and bald.they are shooters and casters. The Wiseman can summon first level
elementals, fire, water, air, earth, light, darkness, and corrupted.
Unfortunately, in order to summon these elementals, the player can not be inside of the void. Fortunately for them they have good stats and no range penalty to make them a unit that is not only good for support or long distance, but at any point on the battlefield.
champion - Shadows - These units are unique in that they can ONLY move in the shadow of other units. They hit with devastating force, and even have the incorporeal ability, (after all how do you hit a shadow?) but have relatively low defenses and HP. In the Void, they can move to any space on the battle field, and cut enemy defenses by 20% when attacking.
racial - Dimension Door - This literally brings the battle field into the void. It is an activated ability by the hero during combat. The properties of the void vary depending on hero development. it generally follows a path of either increasing the stats of your troops or decreasing that of your opponents, however, This effect is heavy on mana and it renders all spell casting, by hero or creature useless. So be wary of its use.
I also think that a rendition of the 7 cities could be cool. The are a society on the cusp of an industrial revolution, so they are named the Forge
Forge
Alignment- Neutral
Motto - "Science and technology will overcome"
Core - Gremlins -standard heroes V germlins, they still shoot and their repair abilities make a lot more sense in this mechanical faction than a magical one. In large enough number, they can literally resurrect mechanical units by repairing them.
- Golems - Once again, while these are traditionally an Academy unit, they just make more sense in a mainly mechanical faction. They would be more like Heroes 3 golems than heroes 5 golems. They are a slow tanky unit with magic resistance.
-crossbowmen - Standard archer, but they have a crossbow. Not really exciting.
Elite - Trolls - they are the grunts put to work by the factories. They often power machines but are also of great use on the battle field
-Canons - There are heavy hiting slow shooters. Canonballs hit any enemy in their line of site.
- Crusading Cyclyist - As ridiculous as it sounds, this is your standard cavalier, but on a bike. horses are less than practical now that bikes provide a fast means of transport that no one has to pick up after. So naturally the Knights of the forge prefer this newer more efficient mode of transport.
champion - Dragon Golem - Since Ashan is truly a land of dragons, this popular heroes 4 unit makes a logical return better than ever. While it lacks the traditional Dragon breath, this dragon is a mechanical flier that while not the fastest level 7 unit, is one of the bulkiest and most hard hitting.
Racial ability - armorer - This skill basically works like heroes V's miniartifacts. Once again, this type of skill makes SOSOSOSOSO much more sense in a mechanical faction like this.
