Quote: its really scary to start thinking that we are genetically predisposed to do this or that thing, one begins to stray from the extent to which a person is an individual or not.
I don't get it: Why is it scary?
It would be scary if it falls down to Gene A equals >75% chance of doing action X.... But the only that qualifies for that is "humanity", the rest is subhumanity, and don't think there is nothing else that "qualifies".
It might be that I am weird from a human standpoint, and that I partially understand humanity, but what is so scary about it?
It would be scary if you had a rape gene that was more than a minor urge, but its not.

It is no surprise that prison is filled with undisciplined people. People who make self-gratification the be all and end all of life. As the Bible puts it, their god is their own belly (Philippians 3:19)
Everyone experiences sinful urges some people chose to practice self-control, some don't. It is worth noting that people in the general population who were not criminals had the same genes. They evidently were people who chose the path of self-discipline. So embrace "the dark side" of fallen human nature or rise above it. Your choice.

Elodin, just has to say I love your signature!!
But I do embrace "the dark side of human nature" willingly, I do whatever my urges tell me to and I am also wildly impulsive! Is it worth it? Hell yeah!
