OK, but why should the community fix anything?

My opinions about H6, from the most to the least important.
LIKES (things I find great even before testing them)
1) Area of control. This was really needed by me.
2) Overall graphic style and design.
3) Water-based faction! Finally after decades of a fire-based faction!
4) Total control over hero skills. Skill wheels were not that fun with the random factor.
5) Hero models and reputation. More models and classes = more fun!
MEH (things I'm not so sure about, waiting for the in-game test)
1) Boss fights. Not sure about the idea, and there are too many bosses: some could have been neutrals.
2) Resources cut.
3) Few neutrals.
DISLIKES (things I hate/would hate to see in Heroes VI)
1) Town windows! Over and over again.
2) No Academy and Dungeon. Which also means: 5 is a poor number.
3) The luck animation. What was wrong with the amazing H5 rainbow? This one looks like a boring and unispired deja-vu.

Being a little tired of the complaint thread I thought I'd go to this place.
Pros
- No randomness in skill development.
- No Mage Guild. Less randomness, good!
- Might and magic heroes in each faction.
- The factions are very different. Not two elven factions for instance.
- Bosses. When you finish a campaign you want a bigger and tougher challenge.
- No dragons in the factions. Some dragons are iconic (like blackies), but I've always preferred when they've come up with a better champ.
- Hero acts freely once per turn. Always liked this better
- Initiative system + turns. A combination of initiative from H5 and turns in H3, likely solving the problem of both systems. Great!
- Magic and luck/morale less powerful.
- More emphasis on a better story.
- Freely choose campaign for each faction.
- Sanctuary. New and fresh faction, like their style.
- Less recourses. I like the idea. Recourses will be important in late part of game as well, and not just to sell for money.
- Many spells and abilities. Mostly looking forward to seeing the might abilities.
- Creature designs. Most of the creatures look really good and are very different.
- Maps. They've said we'll have the biggest maps yet. Sounds good.
- Town portal spell + building. Like how they solved the problem. This will make large maps playable without having an overpowered spell. Perhaps travelling between towns will cost money/recourses?
- Creatures in the army won't effect hero's movement.
- No need for caravans.
- Varied combat arenas.
- 3D view with fixed camera.
- Music. What little I've heard is great!
- No alternative upgrades. Hope this doesn't come in an expansion either. Never really liked the idea.
Maybe
- Style and atmosphere of the game. I'll have to try it out on my screen with surround music to see how it feels.
- Choosing only two out of four special buildings. Will some be the better choice all the time? We'll have to wait and see.
- Control points. One of the biggest changes that will affect gameplay. Interested to see how it works out.
- Reputation. It sounds great, but we have too little information about it at this time.
- Many creature abilities. I'm afraid there might be too many, but I'm hoping it'll turn out good.
- Advanced classes and ultimate skills.
- Creature pools. Will have to try the game to see. But it might be really good.
Cons
- Town windows. Yes, this again. Actually, if they have the current ones in full screen I'll be happy. I'm not too demanding, but a pop-up window is such a big difference from a full screen.
- Some creature designs. A few creatures look to similar, and I miss a few more animal-like creatures, there are too many humanoids. Also don't like the spirits. But this isn't really a big deal for me.
Might be other things I don't remember for the moment, but all in all it looks promising. I just hope we'll have proper town screens sometime in the future, and that the maybe-things work out for the best. If that's the case this will be an amazing game!
