"As you wish, sir" Griel hissed. Who is this human to command- Its thought was cut off as its physical body suddered and a few cracks appeared, glowing a dark purple.
"Melony..." The whisper escaped as a soft hiss. The G9 personality beat Miasma's lingering pressence back down. NO! I am in control! Don't kill us both you fool! Miasma disappeared into the single consciousness again. I will have to keep myself under better control from now on... It realized that ten minutes had passed since the attack had begun. I can't afford anything else like that. But it could find no way to quickly finish Miasma off without damaging itself.
Melony sat back in her chair. Ouroboros's little "mistake" that he had just performed to put her at ease didn't have the desired affect. "First off, I'm not going to help you kill Miasma. I don't think that you understand how..." Close, dear, what? Miasma had been her best friend and her stalwart champion for years. If it had been a man, Mr. Kane would be jealous of how close the two were. How could she even think of betraying it?
-Because it will save Miasma's life.- Melony told herself. -I would rather have it hate me than watch as it dies...- "No, I will not betray it only for you to kill Miasma... I will set it up so that Miasma will disappear and leave you to your plans... But, as I said, G9 is fair game. Miasma didn't tell me anything about it, but I know what it knew anyway, sort of the diffusion of knowledge, you know?"

With minor interest Edmund observed how the team went about it's business. Ida and Richard were scouting the area. Mr. X and another member were curiously inspecting some of the debriss left from the battle. The two remaining team-members were giving first aid to the Commissar.
Edmund himself meandered around the area, lost in his fragmented memory. Already, during the uncomfortable ride to the site, shards of his memory assaulted Edmund's sences. Flashes, experiences, smells, for the briefest of seconds flashed through his mind. The image of himself had given his system a thorough shock.
What bits and pieces of Mr. X's out-loud thoughts he understood were of the same idea. Mr. X was amazed by the technology left on the site, though whatever details he spoke of eluded Edmund. He wasn't a technician after all.
Suddenly the sound of metal being grossly bent out of shape stirred everyone present.
A large, yellow robotic monstrocity just tore a big chunk of armour-plating and framework off of their van with it's powered claws. Its 'prize' in its claw, it wandered off. And at the same time a handfull of other robots tore into the van.
Two of the un-named security-team-members opened fire upon the robots. The third member still fussing about the Commissar. The bullets ricocheted harmlessly off the metal bodies of the robots. None of the machines paid the people any heed.
Mr X. was talking to someone into a small device Edmund did not recognised.
Edmund himself was momentarily stunned by the sight of the robots, as the bullets bounced off the machines he realised that the members of the security team were nigh on useless. The notion stirred him.
With a howl, Edmund leapt at the nearest robot. He latched himself onto the arm of one of the big machines and started clawing though the pistons and wiring of its shearing arm.
The machine reacted with a speed that belied its appearance. It grabbed Edmund with it's other clawed arm and pulled him off. Edmund managed to pull more metal and wiring from the arm, as he was pulled off. However in the vice-grip of the robot he could do little.
Luckily, the robot threw Edmund aside like some trash, freeing him from the grip. With growing ferocity, Edmund threw himself at the robot's other arm. But before he could do much damage to the workings of the machine, he was picked off by a second. Edmund was lucky the machines were hardly occupying themselves with him and were causing him no harm. The grips and throws were uncomforting, but Edmund's skin prevented much, if not all damage. More and more of the robots appeared.
"Think of something!" Edmund bellowed over the sounds the machines made. "I don't know how long I can keep this up before I become too big a nuisance to them and they start focussing on me!"
The van was nearly picked clean and many of the robots were hoarding wreckage of the other machines.
Then an enormous shadow blocked the sunlight. Edmund, only just being thrown off a third time looked up at the sky to see a titanous vehicle hovering in the air. Around it hung many smaller devices, seeming to defend the larger vehicle. Others, without weaponry, were carrying things into the larger vehicle's dump box.
"I don't suppose those things are yours, Mr X?" Edmund asked rethorically.
((OOC: they are not, they're Rex salvage crew. Don't get any smart ideas.))

Ouroboros shrugged and said, "Well I cannot say I blame you. It must be nice to have someone so close, but I cannot allow it to jeopardize my plans. Of course, you probably don't want me to go through with what I have in store, despite your lack of knowledge."

"No, that's where you are wrong." Melony told Ouroboros. "The two are made up differently, G9 cannot be affected by physical weapons, but it isn't immune to actual powers, only highly resistant. But wait... How did you know that G9 existed...?"

She felt slightly disturbed that he had been listening to her while she slept, but Melony didn't show it. "Well, good for you. Did you say that it came... Wait a minute... If they were fighting each other outside... Oh no."

"I don't..." Melony was almost to afraid to talk. "Let me ask you a rhetorical question, how do you kill the perfect being? You don't. Death is not a part of perfection." She took a deep breath to calm herself. "If I hadn't been with Miasma for so long, this fear might be less, but if G9 and Miasma merged while they... Well, then we won't be fighting either of them. What we will be fighting... Will be the perfect instrument of death. And it won't care who gets in its way."

Ouroboros shurgged and said, "Well then that just means I have to get to the catalyst faster. If I am able to prevent their existence, then there won't be a perfect being to contend with, will there? Alternatively, if you really need to, I can have it so that Miasma still lives on, but G9 never appears. If you can promise to have him never disrupt me or my plans again, then I can guarantee that...so long as you help me find the catalyst."

More than considering.

"You remember the girl I had to abduct from the mall, correct? Well, little does she know that her parents are not really her parents. I discovered that she is the daughter of Zero. The biological daughter of Zero. He has locked secrets her mind that she doesn't know she has as a last resort to hide his great secret from me. That is why I have Siegfried here. One of his powers is that he is able to read the mind of others, which is why he has agreed to help me without a hitch, because he agrees with what I am doing. However, the subject has to be completely calm and has to open her mind up completely." said Ouroboros. "Your job does require fighting anyone or destroying anything like what you may have expected. Enough of that has been done. You have to calm her and become her best friend. Do whatever it takes to get her trust Siegfried. You can have her hate me for all I care. But as long as your get her to trust you and Siegfried and open her mind up to him, then we can proceed. This is extremely important. I know I cannot possibly do it despite my best attempts at making her feel comfortable."

"Alright... I'll do it. but only if Miasma remains unharmed, and I can go home afterwords." Melony agreed to the devil's offer that Ouroboros had given her. "But I'd like to rest for a while and eat before we start anything. Not in that order..." She began to eat the food that Ouroboros had set out for her and (presumably) the other guests.

"Of course. I will stay true to my word." replied Ouroboros. "The others should be coming out soon. I'll take my leave. Goodbye."
With that, Ouroboros disappeared as a picture fell out of his pocket accidentally. It did not go with him when he teleported. Instead it just fluttered downwards, landing with the photo facedown on the marble floor.

Being a teenager, Lisa imagined Melony in scant clothing lying on a bed with Ouroboros above her...She shook her head. She then imagined herself in the bed instead. She buried her head in her hands and thought to herself. "Mustn't think like that...only going to make me crazy..."

"Hmmm...interesting." Mr. X said in an amused tone as the bullets failed to leave functioning nanobots on the robots "But predictable. Xion and Mallard are not on the best of terms after all. Proper defense had to be put up. Yes... And hacking won't do either. I dunno what firewall he has made, but it is very hard to break through. Hmmm..."
While Mr. X was wondering about what to do a bluring blue stream hit the foot of one of the droids which fell over from the impact. It was Richard who tackled the droid. Wasting no moments, Richard started running again in circles around the droids, building up speed before he swung past another droid, leaving some kind of device on it.
"Ahh!" Mr. X exclaimed "Of course! Electric explosions still should prove effective enough to shut the droids down! Good thinking Richard!"
The starformed device went of and sent an electric shock throughout the droid.
