Quote: But Cyclopses are not a failed experiment, they're a successful experiment
If you would read the description of the Cyclops, my good Vicheron, you would see:
Quote: They too were a "failure" in the Orc experiment, but because they were born from the blood of major demons.
So yes. Cyclopses are a failed experiment. They are simply to dangerous to be put down.
Quote: It only means he doesn't like opinion-spamming and flaming.
Exactly, I get tired of the opinions spammed by the veterans and the mods just as quickly. I could not give a flying monkey about what you people think about the length of the tentacles of the Breeder. Just as much as you don't care about what I think of the historical accuracy of the Sentinel's armour. And I absolutely hate the completly pointless hostility of the flamewars.
I have nothing against newbies. However it cannot be denied that a significant portion of the opinionspammers and flamers are people who joined after the announcement of HoMMVI. And I blame veterans as much for that as they too are a significant faction. There are just that much more people to blame.
Quote: I just don't understand this hatefull attitude to newbies, remember you we're a newbie once yourself.
That is true, and I had to put up with the same crap as every newby has to. But I ignored it, joined a contest, won second-place, dabbled a little in RP'ing, joined several faction creation-thread, joined more contests and earned my respect. Respect based on my rationality, creativity and humour. And most of all on not acting like a self-entitled troll.
Disclaimer: I am not directing my blame to anyone in particular. If you feel like I am, that is entirely in your own head.

Yeah, in the Heroes 4 forum.
I don't have a problem with the graphics in H6.
It is the art direction that's bothering me.

Also i'm talking about 1999 and its homm3 game, hommV is just as 2000-and after cursed as everything else produced after 2000.
I fall in love after 2000, so great to be in love I have one son, and want one more child not because i think about me, but i want one more little beauty. I live in most poor country of Europe, and i feel good I really enjoy playing H5 multiplayer game. I post here about H6 graphics problems not because i think game is crap but in hope to contribute make it better. Can't wait to play it ...

The graphics of H6 are a lot better the light looks more natural than H5, the vegetation also looks better what can I say the overall environment is more lush and more pleasant to the eye, o and lets not forget the water.
As many people noticed the are some graphics glitches but I don't see them as that the floating tree is more likely that the screen shot was taken in a position that made it look like that and I'm sure about it because I meet the phenomenon in allot of games (also in reality it happens allot when looking at a tree in far distance the trunk looks slimmer or not at all while the crown of leaves is visible).
The wings of the Angel in one screen shot look terrible, but I for one always keep in mind that the screenshot only captures a frame of animation so I think that they look so awful because they use allot of effects that bluer or light's used hit in different angles so they look cool but not in all the frames, so I'm fairly sure when watching the whole animation it will look amazing.

But that doesn't make any sense. If they were a failed experiment then how come there are so many of them? Did the wizards not understand how to perform experiments? If it was failed experiment they would have just made one or two and when it turned out wrong, destroyed it. They wouldn't have made enough to reproduce and create a potential disaster.

That they were dangerous could only be realized after having created a sufficient number of them to be led into battle. It does make perfect sense. Besides, it's not like they created them one week ago and now here they are in the Stronghold. It's been sometime, sicne Cyclopes left the Silver Cities, enough for them the next couple generations to produce more offspring.

THIS GAME IS BEAUTIFUL!
The environment is just brilliant and all the objects and doodads comes to together perfectly. There is such a nice level of detail, just look at the ground, the different layers of textures combined makes the entire land more realistic and good looking.
The game looks so nice and the trees and the doodads doesn't take unnecessary space that disturbs or is in the way for the player.

Yeah, beautiful stuff, although I still say the scale is wrong for a TBS, it's looking more and more like a RPG.

What do you mean?
You think that the units and object on the map should be bigger compared to the trees and doodads?
If that's what you mean I agree with you. Everything doesn't have to have a realistic scale difference <IMO>.
As it is some things can be too hard to see, or rather to small to appreciate. Currently they have the circles around units to make them more visible...
Well I don't know really, one part of me wants realism, and the other wants it more like in heroes 3 where everything was clearly visible. :/

Yep, that's what I mean, because right now, with pretty much everything scaled to the hero, it's easy to miss things, unlike in H3 where the terrain was scaled more-or-less to the towns, and there were very few chances to lose anything.

Bigger units and objects will be nice i think.

Fantasy world don't require realism, better to be everything clearly visible to save our eyes
What object shining behind the creature on last screenshot ? I assume is valuable thing, valuable things must look more attractive, not like piece of trash, i don't want to collect trash

As infinitus said:
Beauty is one thing, but it must not impair gameplay.
Which might be why I'm still a big fan of of old 2d sprite based games, where everything was easily and instantly recognizable despite it's blocky quality but the games reached titanic proportions and depth.

"The stairs allow to leave the Underground" screenshot look very nice, but artifact look too dark and unpleasant. Are they hide arts textures on purpose or is just bad design ? Gold chests again too dark and look like from 10 year old game, same with piles of resources, almost no textures, too blurry. Developer say game is like Christmas tree ...
Well landscape look like beautiful tree, but eye candies on this tree still look bad

It's been sometime, sicne Cyclopes left the Silver Cities, enough for them the next couple generations to produce more offspring.
But that doesn't make sense. When you want to make a new weapon, or any new product, you don't start by mass producing it and just hope that you didn't waste a load of money. You start by making a few and test them extensively to see if they're effective enough to warrant your investment.
It would have been the same with the Cyclops. The wizards would have made a few of them, tested them to see if they were effective warriors and whether or not they can be controlled. They should have known then that the Cyclopses couldn't be controlled.
And while it is true that the Cyclopses weren't created yesterday, they are a recent creation. Heroes 6 is supposed to take place 400 years before Heroes 5, which is only about 60 years after the creation of the beastmen. So the Cyclopses could have only been around for 60 years at most. Unless the wizards made a lot of them, or if they bred really fast, there couldn't be enough to fill an army.

Wrong, since the cyklops aren´t beastmen. They were created at the same time as the orcs 330 YSD, that´s 200 years before the events in H6. So the wizards probably made a lot of them (since they were used in armies at the time of their creation to defeat the demon invasion) AND have had plenty of time to breed as well.
