For the sake of the game's popularity, we do need them. Personally, I like a visually stunning cinematic as much as a well written block of text. But I think today's gamers want to see things in the game that will make them go 'wow!'. Unfortunately, no block of text can offer them that experience.

Don't think it's important, but i wouldn't mind.
When it comes to games like Starcraft, Diablo and Warcraft, I simply DEMAND it. But that's because I know that Blizzard can afford it and that always do it.
With Heroes however I don't really care, sure it is awesome to have but with the Developer teams limited resources they might be better of using it for other things. I like to say for a RMG for example, but that are different guys doing anyway. But I hope know what I mean...
Sorry by the way for being a realistic b@stered

Too true but it's Ubi's fault, which is not willing to give more resources to the devs to work with. Ubisoft is a great company, they resurrected Prince of Persia. They made it so popular that even Disney made a movie out of it. They could do the same with HoMM. Well, not so much as Disney would pick it up, I suppose...
Ofcourse you could argue that PoP had it in it, to become so popular as it is today. But that's wrong. Have you ever played the original games? I have, and no way would I ever imagine then that they could evolve be to what they are now. The same can be said for Heroes, if only Ubisoft was willing...
But you're right, the undisputable fact is their limited resources and time to work on it. It would be wise if they were not spent on cinematics. It just that this way, it's hopeless for the series to ever reach their former glory...

It would be great to have them in H6 because they spice a bit the story and make characters alive for a few minutes. And last but not least they are simply beautiful to watch.
But a wish and will aren't enough to make them. Developers need to have time and money...

It would of course be very nice to have some cinematics. The best I have watched was Baal's entrance cinematic in Lord Of Destruction expansion. "It seems your terms were not exceptable"
Does anyone remember the little animation in the Heroes 5 where Agrael come to the Druid circle in the forest and interrupt them by saying "Gentle druids, it's harvest time!" Ahah! Hilarious!

So far, no HOMM videos have made me feel like those holy text boxes from H4. Of course, that doesn't mean that videos can't improve and become those wonders from Diablo II.

kodial already said everything I think on the first post.
But I'm sure the game will have cinematics. I mean, remember the first gameplay video. Even when the fort transformed it had a small cutscene.

I don't need them, and don't care if they're in there as long as I can skip them. If I can't skip the cinematic then I'll be irritated.

Could somebody tell me what is the music heard at the beginning and the end of the H6 trailer?
Is there anyplace i can listen to the full versions?
In game cinematics?I am indifferent to this. They add nothing to gameplay.
