First of all usually we are our biggest critics which means if you think your humans are horrible it's probably just you and if you are bad in something that should encourage you to improve yourself, if it means making more humans, so be it 
you have a huge talent and it seems you enjoy it so practice makes perfection.... Just keep doing it  I wish I still had that passion, I envy you, and you're pretty good !!!!!!!

Drawing faces and body is hard 'cause the pose you want. One of my greatest luck that I have learned that kind of anatomy what the physicians (doctors) must learn, nevertheless posing sometimes cause me a great amount of trouble (I use modell only in 1% of cases)...
There you can see that I don't use sketching I just draw everything in it's place. If I misplace something I throw it in the bin and start again (but it's rather rare). I know that pencil drawings have the ability to be erased but erasing left stains on the paper IMO and draw over that surface again is rather odd.
As my style of pencil using I'm capable of drawing with pens or fibre-pens rather well but ink-drawings are not my world however...
Sketching for me is like this:
And sometimes I made completed drawings from my sketches (finish them).

And as a tip
Draw non-human things! Why? Because it's easier and if you made some flaw noone will really notice or know!

The dancer's (russian I guess) pose is rather good! On the face you need some more work 'cause it's much more sketchy than the rest.
If you make a sketch you have 2 options with the face:
1. As simple as possible (cartoonish)
2. The only part you make ready
On your dancer's sketch it is obvious that you left between the two options and that's made it a bit funny (and make the viewer thinking if you have real problems with faces or you just lazy to finish your drawing properly)?
Nevertheless, the "gnolltaur" (gnoll-centaur after word fusion, hehe) is interesting. Personally like it
