What Excites you?
I was just kind of meandering along today, and I came across entirely unintentionally a movie I had not seen in a while today.
Strictly Ballroom.
Perhaps the Aussies would be more familiar with it, but it makes dancing Dancing with the stars look like childrens' dancing.
To explain, I am not currently employed as one, but I am a ballroom dance instructor. (Also a computer tech, salesperson, and other things too.)
I really enjoy the movie, and it just made me happy that I found it, and I watched it today. It is a very touching movie. Even if you don't care so much for dancing, you will enjoy it.

There are many other things that excite me too, like video games, books, I have quite a large number of things I enjoy.

Statistics! That's why sport became appealing to me. You follow a set of teams and players, each having their own variables, which differs with time. For some reason, I just really enjoy looking through stuff like old CL tournaments, not the games, but the brackets, the scores, the group phases and the knockout phases.
It's, however, only fun as long as there's one to more teams to support, and as long as the results seems to make some kind of sense in my head. If A beats B 90% of the times, I don't want to see B beating A 5 times in a row. At least not the first many many seasons, but I want surprises and I want to see B defeat A. I don't want the same team to always win, I want development, but I want the overall strongest team to win most of the time.

I don't have something very specific, can be anything from a physical to intellectual level. Can be a matter of discipline such as executing a good throw to a random event as simple as a dice roll. Nothing beats predicting 4-3 and rolling that exact same number to your friend's amazement, IN YOUR FACE! Or predicting a lucky attack with 10% chance heheh

Meeting new people, visiting new places, playing new games... But new things are not the only thing that excites me. For example, whenever Wog_Edn and I talk via HCM, I always look forward to our discussion. My best friend and I getting together and hanging out is another thing that I find excites me, same with my GF and the vast majority of people I know. I also like reading the things that Cor writes, as he is very insightful and almost unbiased.
Now exciting me in a negative way would be reading the vast majority of *certain poster's* posts, and *Other poster* too. Cats meowing endlessly for food/ attention and nails on the chalk board have a similar effect.

Excite skims a bit too close for comfort to "arouse," but that just might be me and my filthy mind.
I guess that what I've been the most excited about lately has been advancing in my studies, playing piano and the upcoming summer vacation. House M.D. is pretty exciting too.

Excite is not being used to equal arouse. Too many people are talking about sexual excitement (which is not the same as simple excitement).
I was referring to what are your passions, things you really enjoy, in a pure and simple way.
Anything related to sex is automatically disqualified due to being arousal, not a sincere passion of your heart and mind-NOT the body.
Ok, thread may now continue.
EDIT: Thank you Keks, when I read your post I knew how to respond to the several comments that were not what I had meant for the thread.
