How do you play a closed map?
I thought I knew how to play a closed map, but maybe I don´t. I know every closed map is different, but in some ways still the same. Do you have some general advice that could be useful for closed maps, or maybe some specific advice for a certain map? I´d love to hear it.

Hehe

well I hope Im not repeating anything, seeing as how I cant read the previous posts
but with a closed map, first you got to think of whether the middle (if any) is best to get to first or not. If it is, you work hard on your side to get there, but so you dont die right when you arrive lol. if it isnt, then you set priorities on your side, sometimes they arent always the same, for example if you see lots of spellpower/knowledge arts on your side you may want to go for early guilds, so you'd set taking treasuries and such as a priority.
the reason many liked closed is because you are indirectly working against your opponent. You sometimes know what day they plan to come through the guards and work hard to prevent that or meet it. Closed maps are also more preffered by people who do lots between turns and cant pay attention for loose scouts wandering into their stuff. Believe me, when i got lots of homework to do or something (i prolly shouldnt be playing, but I do) I dont sit and pay attention to the map when my turn done.

JB is so right.
Hourglass was great for me because I could play my turn then do my work on my business.
Not until day15 did I even have to start watching for invasion.
While this isn't the intense heroes I enjoy it does multitask quite well.
There is no way I could ever play 7 Lakes and get anything else done.
Also sometimes if I am tired or sick I will play a closed map for the same reasons JB mentioned.
