I think that you need a key before you can download anything... in other words wait for Monday.

Installed and everything worked out well. I've just launched the game and walked around a bit, but I'll test it more over the weekend.
It might be worth mentioning that this is an old version of the game, the public beta will feature a newer one. And the NDA prevents the testers from leaking any information about the game that's not yet official.

i had the same problem. It turned out the after when I clicked create my uplay account and the error came up I was already logged in with that new created account. Check if you are

I am still unsuccessful in making a Uplay account as I am constantly getting the same Error message.
Error. There was an error accessing the requested web page.
No luck trying to log in with my submitted username either 
Any ideas?
EDIT:
Worked with Chrome. Apparently one error in filling out the personal data doesn't show up with Firefox (strange... Google conspiracy obv)

I sent a thank-you email out to everybody who sent me an account name and an email address before 1:30 PM GMT today. There were 182 testers on my list and it's in Ubisoft's hands now, so await your keys. If you sent me an account name before then and got nothing, notify me.
If you are a first-priority tester who has not yet sent me a Ubisoft account name, don't despair - you will still have access as long as I get that account name soon.
If you sent me a beta request AFTER 5:40 GMT, June 17th, don't despair either - I will respond to you today.
To those who are encountering errors with registering at Ubisoft, please make sure you're not already logged in. Their forum software can go haywire at the best of times.
To those few who are sending me non-English requests - I am totally oblivious to what you are saying unless you speak English, Irish or basic German and Welsh, so I can't respond in your language, sorry.
