The Meaning Behind your ToH handle
Thought another interesting topic would be what the meaning behind ur ToH handle is!
Mine is Melissa_X, some people might think its got to do with x-rated or something, but its a name i made about 5 years ago when i was playing in heroes 2 tournaments. the x was meant to mean mystery, thats all, since noone at the time knew i knew vesuvius.
And now ill let rob say what his handle means.

Vesuvius is after Mt. Vesuvius, near Naples, Italy. It was the historic volcano that destroyed Pompeii... it is still an active volcano.
My interest in it is for the fact that I always had a great passion for volcanoes, and for a while, was interested to go into vulcanology. But no money in it.....

The side kick to cobra commander in the old GI Joe tv show.. who would always foolishly run into battle without a second guess... and usually get beaten 
Old Crome Dome was my favorite Character from that series, and so I used his name..
The 23 portion is simply because I used this handle first on Mirc and Plain Destro was taken so 23 was added.. Despit beleif although I am 23 it is not a representation of age

My friend Dori and I were racing his camaro on a country road.
We got her up to about 110 and were pushing for more when the wheels on my side went off the road and bit and then he swerved back on and lost control of the car and hit a tree.
We both flew through the windshield and landed about 150 feet away and pieces of the car were coming down all around us.
Including the letters from the car which came down all scattered all around.
I stumbled up to go see if he was OK and I seen the letters laying there.
"MO-CAR-UH", I laughed. "Hey Dori, we got a name for our band now, check it out!!! Dori? Dori!!??"
He was dead. And I would have been had someone not came by and seen it and taken me to the hospital.
I guess I had lost a lot of blood.
Anyway in his honor I voweled to name every band I started after that and I have.
So when I started playing this it just seemed natural.
By the way, excellent topic Melissa.

Well when I first learned of TOH, it was through a guy I worked with, he had taken the first 2 letters of all his real names and put them together.
But I didnt like Anfreni, and considering Ive been called Des all my life (Named after my grandfather who where baptized Andreas but called Des) it was natural to pick Defreni then

Names
I took the handle Prometheus in the second season of Oracle League. I cant even remember the handle I played the first season under. The name itself is not a mystery; most people are familiar with greek mythos.
I chose the name in those early days of online Heroes because I was always taking knowledge from the best players and sharing it with others (like the proverbial fire of Prometheus). We were always learning what was possible (things that are common today) and it was fun. Still is.

hamsi is a fish name in blacksea..... in our country its used for blacksea origin people and all my friend call me hamsi...... and 128 is a number of period of my highschool.... im from 128. period.... thats all

My handle ironmlh is derived from my the initials in my name MLH. I had the nickname Iron Mike in high school, for reasons that belong in a different forum...
Thus, I put the 2 together for ironmlh....

My nickname used to be Dblade. When I first got online, years ago, that name was taken on AOL, so I had to come up with something else if I didn't want to be Dblade37... I chose Retropoet because many moons ago I wrote some (bad) poetry. Up until recently, I was the only one online using that name.

Heh, my toh handle is/was Warlock_Zedrin...
After i saw the movie Warlock i chose that as my nickname and though i rarely use it now it stuck with me.
Zedrin? That doesn't mean anything, at least i hope it doesn't, just a quasi-random association of letters as most names are. I use such names/nicknames often, and Zedrin is the one i use most...

Mine comes from the band Queensryche, being a particularly die hard fan. Fans of Queensryche are often called rychenrollers, an obvious play on words from rock-and-rollers etc etc

my handle comes from an ad&d character i played when i was in junior high.gottewilligar is actually the brand name of a fishing rod,and i thought it was kinda cool,so i used it.
btw rychen,i love queensrych -like the early stuff where each song was a chapter of a story

When I was 17 I joined my first online clan. My nickname was Bjorn and my membership number was 190. That clan changed my life forever, and one very special person in it made me understand that I could be loved.. I will always love her for that. It changed my personality and my life and I will always be grateful for that.
I don´t miss her now, but she´s one of the persons that will live forever in my heart.. and because those days meant so much to me, I will always be Bjorn190.
Few things are as beautiful as the immense turmoil of a teenage heart in love. Add an abstract view of existance and idealistic values.. I hope that you at least once in your lifetime feel the power of unconditional love and complete and utter self destruction for another.

I used to spend a lot of time on the MSG Zone. And I used to be a killer. That's why zonekill.
No in fact, it comes from the french name of a flower - jounequille. It's my favorite flower I always gave to my ex-girlfriends when I had to say goodbye. (same as to many players I've beaten during my TOH carrer)
