Name of a character from a book i was meant to be writing. Only 7 seven chapters was made never completed the book. the bookd was mean to be called:
THE RISE OF POWER.
It was later converted into a heroes 3 map.
BIO:
Grythandril is a strong wizard who was once a member of the White Council.
After the collapse of the council due to corruption within, he later became A Supreme Wizard of the Inner Circle.
After the destruction of the Supreme Wizards along with his Brother Shaddor II, Grythandril became the only survivor.
He knows many things, but still has the tendency to blunder into situations because of his own impetious behaviour.

once upon a time...

well, nice top Mel! You return my memories about early days and here is the story:
my handle is Arteman, and according to one of the legends (especially actual after Lord of the ring movie released):
handle is mix of my first name (As it written in my info - Artem) and very powerful and mysterious person from Tolkiens book (if you still think, what might it be, it's Saruman, lol). He is not my favourite, but when first wave of LotR popularity became, my friends and me mixed our names and characters from book... And i remembered one... and that's why i called... )

My friend Monte! (Montegoma Hawkboot(bastshoe))
His hanlde is my idea, just a mix of some my child's favourites and bit of humor:
Cos, Montegoma the Hawk-Claw was indian name from russian author Tchehov story, which i remember since i was kid and playing with frineds in indians.
And bastshoe - is national ancient russian footwear.
However, it's my idea just because, real Monte's wish was named himself as in our hotseat games, similar to me - Sasheiman, but i ask him choose other name, and he allow me to choose than... Now he is MHbBs or just Monte

Sometimes I have trouble seeing my belt. This is were chubby came in. My high school football number was 51. I don't know why I put the O in there.

wow many really good stories here. I wish i had something funny about my handle too but there isnt.
"Stiven" comes from my 3rd grade in school, we had just started to learn english and some ppl in my class started to call me that. And after that it has been my nickname, im starting to get tired of it tho. Why use a nickname when i have such a beutyful regular name? 
Anyway, when i was in 7th grade me and some friends started to add some words in front of our regular nicknames. So my nickname there for a while was "superstiven". That was fun for about a month then we all got tired of it, one year later i started to play diablo online and only "Stiven" as handle looked stoopid so i choosed to add a "Sir" in front of it. The "funny" spelling in "Stiven" is because of Steven or Stephen looked too regular so i wanted it to look alittle different. And also it was easier to get online accounts with "Stiven" instead of get "Steven758617963" or "Stefan7751" as a log in.
Thats my sad story

Mad_Unicorn: when a problem between me and Andrew Draconis came up somebody(cant remember who) suggested i change my name this caused alot of confusion at "simyar" as i was Registered in addicts as Mad_Unicorn but on the Rankings as CalJS
CalJS: Where I was from and my first name and last name initials(so what i took the zones advice)
Quintar: look it up in a dictionary  (this guy was korean keke CIAI!)
TheBlackKnight: Easy enough to figure this out my fave units at the time were black/dread knights.
Duhduhduh: when dueduedue and diediedie were around i decided to make this name and see what would happen I believe i even wrote to honour council with this name about justinjustin23 or something was a lamo that wouldn't finish the game cus he was losing(he was russian too)
nothing really funny just where the came from i stick with Mad more because thats the name i met rous my wife on the net and she likes the name more.

Nothing really fance here, I just started using Tristram, one of the less known knights of the round table, in role playing. I tried to use it in one of the computer games, but it would only accept 8 characters, so I went with Tristan, which is a different form of the same name.
Since then, Tristan has been one of my favourite "handles" though there are a few others I have used at times.

...well its not really hard to guess where my handle comes from..
..in the beginning of my online time, i thought about a really cool hero in heroes, and as Xarfax has the formidable peaseant-killing fireball spell i took Xarfax as my handle ..well life and learn..
...now i see how crappy he really is; or does any experienced player ever take ME as main!!??..i guess no..even if i wouldve him, i would make magic arrows instead of a stupid fireball (makes more damage)..
..one of the question is why Xarfaxs attack stats are soo low even as he looks like a Klingone and hes obviously wearing the Heavingly Helmet of Enlightment.
One day petrus told me that the name Xarfaxs comes originally out of the Hungarian Language. Xarfax is parted in the Hungarian words "szar" and "fazs" (szarfazs). "szar" means somethin like "sh*t" and "fazs" comes from "dick"..so the word is "sh*tdick" ...ouch ..hope hes wrong

prolly the most famous play ever written in the english language, Hamlet, starts out with the ghost of hamlet's father visiting some terrified guards at midnight. Closest creature to ghosts in H3 is a Wraith or Wight, hence Midnight Wraith since Midnight Wight sux for a name, which then got shortened to Midnight.

Good topic, Melissa_X, there are quite some interesting posts.
Some time ago I was trying to find a nick for me and I came across with this name while doing some work on World WarII. I thought "What a great nick! I bet nobody else has it.". I was wrong, it had been taken by a few people already, so it became Blitzkrieg_I - meant to be Blitzkrieg, the First (yeah, right).
It is a german word that means a very fast and powerful surprise attack (I think, I never looked it up in a dictionary or something), it is mostly associated with World War II.
Although it is a german nick, I am not. I'm from Portugal. I've had some people objecting to the use of the nick. Some ppl even asked me to leave the MSN Zone and use another nick in respect for the presence of people from countries that suffered with the horrors of the war. Come on, I don't mean any disrespect for them! After all, it's just a name. I hope ppl will understand that.
