That sounds crazy, is it rly possible and how?
You must understand that most "amazing things" that people talk about here are NOT done on UBI maps which come with the game. Those miraculous feats of strength they achieve on custom made maps so rich that allow you hit lvl 20+ in week 2. So don't bother trying that on ANY map. That's what I did and I couldn't comprehend for some time how are these guys pulling that off with town lvl 1 and tier 3 neutrals guardig ore and wood. The answer is they don't. They do it on maps with town lvl 6 day one and sets of artifcts and array of resources, chests and gold nearby your town. These maps are designed differently than your regular UBI maps and for more competetive purpose. Don't think they do not require skill. It's just different type of map that allows you to focus more on strategy and hero developement and instead of economy. They are also as i have noticed only 1 vs 1 maps.

Actually the standard used to lvl 3 starting town with tavern, fort and lvl 1 dwelling. Tier 3 neutrals guarding ore pit or sawmill is unfair by nature as you may get arcane archers which is instant death for some factions. Usual guardians there used to be lots of tier 1 or tier 2(with exceptions according to map) and the rare mines were typically protected by tier 3(or tier 4 on occasion). Resource availability varies though most of the interesting maps were actually pretty tight if you wanted to build a castle and tier 7 by end of week 2. That might sound crazy until you realize that you don't need many chests to do that and that you'd always have to skip something or leave most of your units unhired. Sylvan for instance would creep with sprites, hunters and druids in earlygame, avoid buying anything else, skip treants and go straight for the dragons. Academy would normally skip golems and rakshasas. Etc. Of course you'd also have to risk every bit of the way to get the missing resources, which were barely enough. Plenty have suicided vs neutrals
In short, the toh standard was to give players the incentive to creep fast if they wanted to delelop their town early but have them face obstacles along the way. There often was a price for that kind of success

hehe okay I have said things of which I still have little knowledge I admit. I did try one of the maps You have recommended Elvin and first week of play gave me understanding that You can do basically what You want without worrying about economy. Tier 3 guarding ore and wood is my expierience from RMG ofc cause that is basically kind of maps I know and on those kind of maps I was trying to do things which You guys were doing on TOH maps...You do agree that it is super hard or even impossible . I just wanted to point out that for those packs or lots of archangels or dragons in week 2 to be killed You do need map that allows it and not ANY map like I thought not so long ago. I just always thought it is all about skill and the map is of no importance or of little importance. I have to play more of those TOH maps to make my knowledge more concrete instead of basing on impressions.

@ Elvin
Yet some factions needed to take more riskts while creeping then others, while not beeing particulary strong in the lategame either.

Talking about maps, can you propose me some good maps ? I find the H5 map small and I have the strange feeling that H3 had atleast three times bigger maps with tons of stuff, are there maps like that (huge map that can be play for a long time with a lot of neutrals and time to get ultimate skills and stuff) for H5 and can you tell me where to find them ?
I will be grateful

You could try ToH. In no particular order: The Giants, MasterMind, Rat Race, The Abysmal, SideKick, Ability, Dragon Hill, School of Sorcery, Master of Disguise. If you enjoy complicated epic maps you should try battlezone, hourglass, Twilight World or genesis.

Sure, go ahead. Or use the questions and FAQ sticky, either is fine.
