Heroes 6 Favorite and Least Favorite Creature
So what is your favorite and least favorite creature from the beta?
Mine hmm... jaguar Warrior and Juggenaut are my favorite. They just looks really-cool full stop!
My least favorite one is the Breeder. Personally I think it doesn't fit in the Inferno. It looks like a Jelly Mushroom. Its abilities are really weak and its not worth to buy it.

I really don't like the Maniac and Lich :/
The lich looks like a core creature.
My favorite looking creature is the Kirin and honestly, I think the Glories ended up being really cool in the end.

Lich looks like a homeless drunkard beggar... Cyclop is on the other hand too fat and imho it should have hoofs.
Favorites: Imperial griffin, Blazing Glories, Ghouls, Harpies, Spectres, Kenseis, Ravagers, Shadow elementals.
Totally favorite: Pit Lord.

Even those I like are inferior to prior incarnations,
but -eh- Kirins and Shark Guards are pretty cool, I guess.

Horrid Taste detected.... How can you hate the Kirin and like that horrible Mauler, Fake Medusa, Arthas Vampire and most of all that horrible pathetic lich, really a bad taste.
Sorry.
First than anything the Coral Priestess looks awesome ingame. Second stop saying fake medusa, if you dont want to call it by its name say fake gorgon
No, as they were called Medusa in previous homm games and Gorgons were the D&D bulls, so calling them Gorgons would be confusing for people that don't know greek mythology and only know HOMM games.
they have to learn some way

Like
- Shadow Elemental: Visually nice and strike & return fits well this one.
- Sentinel / Praetorian: No more peasants. Quite decent low(est) level protector / blocker. Praetorian visually nice.
- Juggernaut / Ravager: Now this one looks strong, could almost be mistaken as champion creature. Good front line attacker.
- Succubus / Lilim: Good low-level shooter. Visually not too appealing but ok.
- Ghost / Spectre: Undead "Sisters", Paranormal Medics. Ghosts were almost useless in prev. Heroes but now they can "heal", that was smart thing to add. Also visually quite good looking yet not exactly look like ghosts more like semi-spirits.
- Fate Spinner - Fate Weaver: Looks good and can transform into ranged unit. The dual form was a vital addition, otherwise this one would be boring.
- Kenshi / Kensei: Rakshasa... I mean Kenshi is a good front line unit and visually ok, but it's too similar to that Academy creature @ previous game.
- Goblin - Goblin Hunter: Ranged trapper, can't dislike that. Only thing that bothers me is it's face that looks like Green Goblin helmet from Spider Man movies.
- Centaur / Centaur Marauder : Awesome ranged unit but visually boring.
Can't decide
- Radiant Glory / Blazing Glory: Otherwise ok but more like an elven creature than Haven.
- Seraph / Celestial: Better swordplay animations for these woundn't hurt. The model itself is nice.
- Breeder / Mother Breeder: Many of you seems to like these but I'm not sure. It looks like a Zerg creature from SC -series (brilliant games btw). As a shooter it isn't much, but with that mana-ability and prolife it is a decent unit.
- Lamasu / Putrid Lamasu: Bone Sphinx. I really like this thing visually. Otherwise it's a tuned-down Bone Dragon which left me a bit disappointed.
- Coral Priestess / Pearl Priestess: Ranged healer is nice combo (ok, extremely annoying at times but good if you think from balance perspective) since you can't do both in same turn (doesn't apply to Lich upgrade). Visually these things are like cutified medusas, can't really decide if it's good or bad thing.
Dislike
-Storm (Air?) Elemental: Chain lightining hurts. Maybe be too powerful if a hero could somehow get an army of these.
- Sister / Vestal: Good healer but that's pretty much it. Maybe they could drop her attack a bit and grant some extra (not too powerful) skill?
- Hellhound / Cerberus: Paper Dogs, Hit'n Die Dogs... they just die too easily and two-headed attack isn't that useful. Don't like them visually cuz they look more like two-headed lizards than hounds.
- Ghoul / Ravenous Ghoul: Zombies with haste, nothing more.
- Lich / Archlich: Don't like it visually, looks like some cartoon antagonist. Death cloud has been dropped and given a "healing" attack -ability instead, now that doesn't feel right, either.
- Vampire / Vampire Lord: More like a pale knight than a vampire. Vapires shouldn't need sword to drain life, maybe they could come up with something different if bite animation is hard to make look good. Good thing they dropped "no retailiation" even it kinda was a trademark together with drain, it would be too OPd.
- Kappa / Shoya: Hit'n Die Frogs. Don't like these. Visually ok but that's about it.
- Kirin / Sacred Kirin : As an idea creature that looks like a traditional Chinese dragon sounds good, too bad the result doesn't appeal to me neither visually nor in battlefield.

Good thread, makes sense now that we have seen everything ingame.
Aesthetically speaking,
Like!
Haven:
Praetorian because it looks awesome with the armor, spear+shield
Crossbow/marksman because their reloading animation is very detailed
Blazing/Radian glory because their teleporting and glaring looks is very cool.
Riders have a very cool knight look and the sun horse is a nice touch
Imperial griffins look very awesome and noble
Celestials double strike is cool looking
Sanctuary:
Shard guards look a lot cooler than I thought
Kensei is one of the coolest creatures around
Kirin is a very beautiful unit
Inferno:
Basic hound looks good
Succubus/Lillim are very good I like when they fly around
Lacerator is cool
Breeder looks better and more fitting than I thought
Pit fiend is most likely the sexiest unit ingame
Stronghold:
Goblin look good but their boomerang animation takes to long
Harpies are very cool only the attach animation takes to long with the landing
Mauler is a cool orc
Centaur are beautifully made
Necropolis:
I like this skeletal warrior
the ghost/spectre is very good looking love it
ghouls are nicely done
Vampire looks like a real immortal knight
Lich is the best incarnation in the series can't understand the hate
Neutral:
Wolf and Dire wolf are good I like them
shadow elemental is very cool
Storm elemental is very fitting
water and light look are copycats...
earth elementals are best of the series
Mermaid is great
Don't like / disappointment!
Haven:
Sister/vestal for here great artwork the ingame implantation is very poor
Sanctuary:
Kappa is just wrong hate it
Coral Maiden is stupid the snake hair is totally unfitting
Water elemental is one of the worst units ever
Yuki-ona is disappointing looks unfitting and boring
Inferno:
demented look stupid give back imps
upgraded hound looks stupid
Juggernaut is also boring
Stronghold:
shaman looks underwhelming
Jaguar warrior is just big boring bad
Cyclopse is a huge disappointment looks simply fat
Necropolis:
Lamasu is another big disappointment despite its great concept it looks just boring ingame
So is the spider liked the idea don't like ti ingame
Neutrals:
fire elemental is ugly
Well a lot of units are very beautiful and fitting some are a disappointment and others are just fugly.
Overall it's still best of the series.

some things cannot be said man! here is what you are wrong about...
1) sisters are too powerful in H6, maybe the strongest core unit, heals like crazy especially in large numbers and has a hell of a damage.
2) ghosts were useless in previous heroes? i can only talk about tribes of the east where they usually died last with the unbalanced incorporeal ....
3) goblin is almost useless in battle. maybe the trap changes that a bit but not much
4) boring to see? the centaur? one of the prettiest creatures in H6?....
5) ghouls.... oh man... send them up front and keep healing them. they will kill any creep on their own.
6) lich = one of the coolest to watch creature...
7) vampires : they didn't drop any "no retaliation". if you remember it existed only in one of the two upgrades. here we have how many upgrades...?
that's all for now

We all have our opinions...
1) Did notice their damage dealing potential and mentioned that they could have some minor ability and damage dealing (attack) dropped. They also shouldn't be able to use healing so often.
2) Ok, ghosts were useless before H5. In H5 I always killed them quite fast despite their 50% change of not getting hit. Maybe that's why I didn't see them too much of a threat.
3) Can't agree. Especially in early game they have been very useful so far.
4) Yeah, boring in my eyes, can't help it.
5) Ok, you might be right, in early game they have potential. Still don't like them.
6) Can't agree.
7) Forgot to mention I meant upgrade, sry for that. Hmmm... In H2 Vapire Lord "Creatures attacked by vampires cannot retaliate", H3 Vapire Lord "No enemy retailiation", H4 Vampire "Their hypnotic presence also prevents their victims from retaliating.", H5 core Vampire Lord "No Enemy Retaliation".
Only in H5 ToE optional vamp upgrades had enemy retaliation.
This is how I see it
