MULTIPLAYER maps: impressions,suggestionss, strategies.

Multiplayer maps in Heroes 6 visual stile look great, lots of details. Looks like part of real world not like part of electronic scheme.
Most of H5 multiplayer maps was rush maps. H6 maps compared to H5 maps are ultra rush. Distance between opponents towns can be two days of hero  travel. Not sure ultra rush will be liked between serious players.
H6 maps sizes looks smaller compared to H5. For example Huge size H6 is equivalent to Large size of H5 (i mean time needed for Hero to travel entire map). Not sure is positive moment too. If maps are ultra rush and  have relative small size, weak neutrals, how Heroes will reach hi levels ? (level 30 for example). Now about about each map apart :
Broken Alliance - my favorite for now, multiple way to go, not bad.
Tree of Plenty - typical map with treasury in center.
The Wheel of Hate - too dark visual stile for my taste, not really like under maps.
A Bridge too far - this is map ? I think this more like a test, not map. Too small.

On topic:
I agree that they haven't offered the best maps for testing.
I think they should focus more on 2 player maps that are bigger than Bridge too far.
4 and 6 player maps are pointless at the moment (for multipayer tests, they are ok for skirmishes) -at least until they incorporate simultaneous turns.

I wish they add a "standard" 2 player map to the beta rotation.

Maybe this maps are designed to be playable for 2 players if we choose the right spots to start. For example maybe if we choose for player 1 start position 1 and for player 2 position 2 we get optimal position for 2 players game. Need some testing here.

Finished game vs Zamolxis on Broken Alliance. I started as player 1, start position 1, Zamolxis player 2, start position 2. I passed my zone go on first day, second week. I take right passage, if i go left game may ended on day 3-4 second week. Very, very rush map. Not good for serious play. I really interested to know what is UBI concept for multiplayers maps. Goal is mega short games, two weeks long ? Maybe need to choose other start position for normal play. Will continue testing ...

With that map being a remake from H2 times, there is only so much blame you can put on ubi.

The bridge map could benefit more from a fully built town, some extra experience and stronger guards in the middle. That would make it closer to H3's Good To Go

I would love to see a map for 2 players well guarded by some kind of H5 garnison, utopia, sunken temples... etc. Im sure Ubi will make it somehow. Otherwise, we have our map makers

Just because you don't like the maps doesn't mean they suck While I understand that the lack of a real 2 players maps can be annoying, I find that "Wheel of Hate" and particularly "Tree of Plenty" are good maps.

The Bridge map is a fast duel map for people who want fast maps (rather than spending 2 hours on a 1v1 map. I don't like it much.

Trying to figure out best start spots for 2 players game on map Broken Alliance. Got the problem - i can start as Team1 or as Team2 or as Team3, but no idea how to start as Team4, Team 5, Team 6. Anyone know how ? Then i start as Haven as Team1 dwelling in start zone is native. If i start as Haven as Team2 or Team3 i got non native dwelling. Not critical but in this case i have to spent money to convert dwelling, Team1 not. Uneven start condition. Better to make dwellings be native for any player on any start spot.

Broken alliance is planned to have 3 human spots (players 1,2,3), and 3 AI spots that are richer in resources (4,5,6).

I think you should look at other two maps more than Broken alliance.

The one with tree in the middle sounds balanced (mirrored) no matter at which position players start (at least my impression, tested 2 slots). Might be a tad too big with 12 towns though.

In multiplayer games after the time was up, humans will lost the game ;
150 minutes is not enough for cleaning everything out. Would be a good idea for Ubi to insert time-option for each turn and also enable more time limit for games and no-time limit option.
