Been bothering me for weeks how little I developed the battle system. >.<
Barbarians should be done soon.

Barbarians are done! Please, feel free to critique and prod, also please point out the obvious imbalances that I missed... for Barbarians and those that came before them.

For a faction of very similar creatures (by looks) this is really good

My general opinion
To Gnome- in general, great ideas about the factions, especially like the split of Dungeon into Dungeon and the Dark Elf/Demon Tainted faction. Also, the Barbarians are really cool, remind me of Dragolance's Draconian armies (I'm sure they were an inspiration). And the split into two mini-factions in each faction is also really cool, an idea I would adopt in my own faction ideas- which are quite similar to yours actually... Maybe alternate upgrades would be another option, in line with the Blood/Tears.
My version of H6 has 11 factions- Haven, Necropolis split into Necropolis (desert-dwelling Mummies and Liches) and Keep (mountain-dwelling Vampires), Dungeon, Inferno, Stronghold, Rampart (more badass and vengeance-oriented), Temple (a jungle-based Wizard town inspired by Indian culture), Sanctuary, Citadel (a neutral-aligned human town of airship-riding merchants, allied with some barbarian tribes, Djinn and Ogres) and Forge (underground-dwelling Dwarves and Halflings).
However, one criticism- the Dungeon and Stronghold specifically lack racial variety. My version of Dungeon, for example, has 4 races- humans, Dark Elves, Troglodytes and Minotaurs. Again, choice is up to you, but just adding more races to a faction I think makes it more interesting. Also, on first sight Necropolis' and Academy's line-ups look repetetive to me- but I need to see the detailed line-up to decide. Also, what's the difference between Colossus and Titan?
Other than those small comments, brilliant in my opinion.

Quote: Also, the Barbarians are really cool, remind me of Dragolance's Draconian armies (I'm sure they were an inspiration)
As stated (probably four or five times) before, I am in fact stealing ideas from other people and using them in new ways, so yeah I'll guiltily admit that you're right...
Well, dungeon was supposed to be based on a whole mess of things being conquered/ tamed in the darkest places of the world, so that's why there aren't really any races beyond the Minotaur present throughout the faction lineup... And stronghold is really just a bother to create since it is supposed to just be bloody orcs and failed wizard experiments. :/
Necropolis is supposed to be slightly repetitive! How do you have a faction of dead things without rotting or dead things? Academy I just didn't have much inspiration for, never really liked them in any of their games but they seem to be a fan favorite, and I can use them oh so conveniently in any plot I choose since wizards are oh so different from one another...
Colossus in mythology were giant golem-like living statues. Titans were the mothers and fathers of the ancient greek gods and they embodied the forces of nature, generally air and earth based.
So thanks for reading so far, and thanks for the support! Oh, and welcome to the forum (If you've been here for a while.... well, I don't come to the altar very much and this is my first sighting of you.)

Necropolis
Here's my idea for an improved Necropolis line-up:
Core:
- Skeleton Warrior
- Husk (a bug-infested corpse, like a shooting zombie)
and
- Barghest (a monstrous undead dog)
or
- Wraith (renamed ghost)
Elite:
- Revenant (a heavily-armed undead knight on foot)
- Lich
and
- Vampire
or
- Mummy
Champion
-Bone Dragon
or
-Grim Reaper
This is how I would make Necropolis.

Hard to change too much, isn't it?
I have decided that the Grim for the Champions will be the Barghest-hound of death (grim is just another name for it). I used this before in my Fae faction, so I really do like using it now.

Due to my raging paranoia about the lifespan of this sub-forum, I have taken the liberty to move all of the stuff I have created to this Colosseum thread So now when the purge comes and this sub forum is destroyed, all that work I put into this won't just vanish...
