System requirements
I know this may have been addressed before, but: can someone please tell me what the system requirements are for this game? Are they similar to H5, or will a more powerful computer be required?

Do mods read other mod's FAQs???
but you probably just want another computer system requirements/questions topic like in temple...
Anyway, I have to gargle at the 1GB video memory recommendation
H5 was no good for long play on laptops unless in winter as it has burned out my 512MB graphics card [thanks to Quantomass] but minimum/recommended spec for H5 were 128MB/256MB (one could feel it was bit too hot)
So I guess will be very careful with only 512MB video memory since it doesn't even meet recommended specs...
yeah I know laptop is not best for games but this is only TBS game. The amount of effort/priority put into eyecandy is perplexing.

My video card is only 256 MB. So, I'm assuming this means I'll have some issues.
Pity.
(EDIT: Although H5 ran with no problems for me, contrary to what previous poster experienced.)

would a quad core i7 2 ghz and a 540m nvidia with 1 gig and 4 gig of ram suffice in a notebook for max graphics.

Guys...your processor matters very little for gaming (except for maybe supreme commander ). Any processor that's less than 4 years old will handle this game with no problems, but if you don't have a dedicated graphics card, you definitely won't run this game.

I have a question that is not really a question about system requirement, but rather optimum hardware
What graphic card has the best support today
(respectively after the release of Patch 1.2 on December 20th?)
Dose Nvidia have the best supproted drivers (or is it AMD?)
I am sure both vendors will have good support for may model sooner or later,
but I am eager to play in high resolution right now

A bad processor limits good graphics card and vice versa. You need both to be decent or you'll experience performance issues in every new game.

QFT.
Also, to the OP, don't believe system requirements for the current patch (1.1.1) : Your game will crash if you don't put everything on low / medium -I personally had to buy a new rig because of that.
Graphics during adventure are the most ressource-intensive, prepare to have severe drop.
It's not sure it will change with 1.2
If you want to know how your pc does, download FRAPS, launch it, then see how much fps you get. Less than 30 is not enjoyable even for strategy games.
