!Something is wrong with the neutral creatures!
As you know, it is always said that there are total 66 creatures in the game. But let's calculate what is the real number:
First, the creatures from the 6 towns - 8 for a town.
6*8=48
And then I will enumerate the neutral creatures (I read about them in the Celestial Heavens site):
Associated with Academy:
None
Associated with Asylum:
Pirate (level 1)
Troglodyte level 1)
Beholder (level 2)
Troll (level 2)
Associated with Haven:
Peasant (level 1)
Associated with Necropolis:
Zombie (level 1)
Gargoyle (level 2)
Mummy (level 2)
Frost Demon (level 3)
Associated with Preserve:
Leprechaun (level 1)
Satyr (level 2)
Air Elemental (level 3)
Water Elemental (level 3)
Fire Elemental (level 3)
Earth Elemental (level 3)
Waspwort (level 3)
Mantis (level 4)
Associated with Stronghold:
Mermaid (level 2)
Sea Monster (level 4)
And now let's ass them: 0+4+1+4+8+2=19. So there are 19 neutral creatures in the game.
But the creatures in the towns are 48. And 48+19=67. Not 66 but 67!!!
There could be several explanations:
1-I have made a mistake while adding
2-the Celestial Heavens site contains a creature that is not in the game. But there are screenshots of all the creatures... Maybe one of these creatures has been removed later. Which one? I would say the Pirate or the Gargoyle. But this hypothesis is not completely sure...
3-this is the most interesting variant. Since it is announced that there are 66 creatures in the game but we find one more creature, that may mean that there are actually MORE creatures than it's said! This could be a trick so that the developers keep some secrets - not everything should be spoiled before the game is released. So they may want this to be a surprise - more creatures than expected! But how many? Only one more? No, I think there are neutral creatures that nothing has been said about yet. And we may come across them in the period of playing...
Or do you have other ideas about this mathematical thing?

Maybe
I'm not 100% sure.
But they meant 66 PLAYABLE creatures.
Add Goblin
Remove mermaid and Sea Monster.
You can't have them in your army. They are 100% NPC

Yeah! Let's ass them! LOL!
And the Satyr is a level 2 creature? SHAME! It should be level 5! Thats how beautiful it is! (It's hard to believe, in a junkyard of graphical abuse, to find such a gem, but it's right there...)

If anyone did a miscount, it's NWC..
There are supposed to be 67 creatures in the game. I listed them all here:

Great page layout Preserver.
What is the most important nuetral creature to have in your army?
The peasant.
Why? Because the peasant may have the single most important special of any creature. It is a taxpayer. I believe it gives you 1 gold per day. Okay, that doesn't seem like alot, but when money and resources are tight having 500-1000 peasants might give you the game, or at least let you buy your 4th level creatures.

If thats true what u say Oldtimer then Haven will have the largest army (they will afford it atleast)...But if u have peasents u should not put them in your army (the army that u use most) then u will lose them...I think u maybe you should have a special hero with only peasents with him, and keep the hero out of dangerous battles (I said "maybe")...

Is that true for sure? that's cool - but they should be able to give you money only if those peasants are in castle (e.g. working). Will it be possible that peasants put to guard mines will make your mine create more production per day? Like each peasant can increase with 0.1% the quantity of production - so 1000 will increase the production by 2.

Wesley: Looks better than most of the HOMMIV creatures...
Preserver: I looked at your page, and the layout was great, but I can't believe they went with the ugly satyr! I've seen two different versions of him, one magnificent and the other more of an "err...", and they went with the last one! Man! The satyr was like the only creature I was looking forward to playing with, and now they've uglified him. I'm going away now, to cry my silent tears...

Wow...ummm...yea.
So that's the faeire dragon huh. In my opinion it reminds me of the homm3 rust dragon. As goofy as the faeire dragon from homm3 looked it went along with the name. I'm serious, I think it looks like the rust dragon. By the way, I love the page preserver. Looks awsome. I cannot believe that's what the elementals look like. I've been waiting so long to see what they were going to look like... and that's what I get. A whole lotta crappiness. I admit the elementals were not the strongest creatures in previous games but they have always been my favorite.
Man, I still can't believe the Earth Elemental looks like a drugged up broken statue.
The Water Elemental looks like it just pissed its pants.
The Air Elemental became fat and happy.
The fire elemental just looks kinda confused, probably looking for its body.
Well I guess that's all for now.
I do really like the thunderbird though, I think it looks cool.
