Two abilities that I can't understand why are thought to be overpowered.

One is pressed attack. In H5, your hero spends half turn to use it and it stays forever, but now it is full turn and is active for just 3 attacks (instead of 2 turns which is a bug I think) -- Roughly your hero damage is about 0.5 of the stack damage, so one hero attack = 0.5/7 = 7% of total army damage, for 3 times only -- you can easily achieve that from other abilities.

The other one is reinforcement (and other abilities that lvl 2 and lvl 3 don't increase power, but let you use it on t2 and t3 units, eg Haven faction ability). 3 ability points for an ACTIVE ability to increase your army by 4%? I can get HP +8% PASSIVE with that

Pressed attack is OP. It doesn't last 3 turns, only 2 turns. You cannot compare to H5 ability as H5 heroe's attack was much weaker than in H6 and the damage is not 0.5 of stack damage. H5 heroe's attack was linked to hero level whereas H6 heroe's attack is linked to his might stat (might hero) or magic school stat (magic hero).

Who said Reinforcements was OP? For one I think it is way too weak and needs to be increased.

It lasts 3 turns sometimes. Do not know why but I think its the result of the Blood patch boosting the ability

So there's some general agreements though.

OP

Pressed Attack (no mana and usually ends up doing more damage than comparable level direct damage spells.)

Meditation : doesn't do what it's suppose to, turns into free mana fountain.

Damage return aura. level 3 too abusrd. (though dispellable so it's debatable)

Way too weak / poorly designed

Duck and Cover (?)

Most non-magic power stats bootser, espeically the higher level onces. (includes toughness, leadership, luck , add to magic defense and might / defense)

Catapult

others? what's the general thoughts on giant slayer / archery ?

Scouting 3 seem to come too late to be practical unless the map let you start with high level heroes.

Pressed attack lasts 3 turns on creature x when you cast it during that creatures movement phase. You can get more then 3 activations if you get good morale and if you use it as descriped above you will always get minimum 3 activations. Theres a bug regarding color of the skill, it works as a general skill, paths dont matter, skill does not generate blood points when activated (unlike all other blood skills).

Meditation gives maybe a little over board mana but its not all that important since its lvl 15 skill so mages on that lvl have it plenty already. you can use it only once during fight wwhich is ok. I dont think its op, i think its just very good skill, which it should be being lvl 15. Adding some kind of cooldown might be good tho.

Retaliation aura has really powerful effect. Not sure if its op as it requires 3 skills and you can dispell it, so it better be good. Its only really good when fighting with big armies. I think a lot of frustration about this skill comes from playing duels where it works perfectly. In standard game it is much more difficult to create this kind of environoment as the maps are so small you meet your opponent with much smaller armies.

Archery stat boosts giant slayer etc with all those skills everything comes down to math. Single point of attack gives you 2,5%-5% damage increase. I think most people dont know how much it gives really. Attack tree gives you +3 +2 +3 =8 attack which is 30% damage increase on average for all might troops for 3 skill points. You can judge yourself if its good or not but for me its pretty clear.  Its easy to compare effectivness of other skills from there.

Scouting 3 is just annoying to work with. You have to look at those little dots on the already small overhead map, and it doesn't show the terrain anyway so it's not necessarily a linear direction to follow. If you're already familiar with the map then its usefulness is reduced either way.

Pressed attack: I always get 2 turns, even casting it right before the desired stack is about to go.....

@Felunio -> Meditation can only be cast once per battle so a cooldown is not necessary....

I still think lightning bolt needs to be toned down a bit on damage....

I always have 3 activations, guess thats why i win most of my games then

I know its once per battle, i wrote that. I ment cooldown once per day or per couple days. When you use it in every single fight you got unlimited mana basically, which is too strong in theory in my opinion. In practise, as i said, its not that big of a deal, so its not necessery.

It is actually at most 3 activations in at most 3 turns! If no morale effect and you cast it on the attacking creature on turn X, your hero will attack on turn X, X+1, X+2 -- if your creature does not attack in those 3 turns, it expires.

However, if morale triggers on say turn X, then your hero attacks on turn X*2, X+1 for 3 activations and done. If morale and cleave trigger on turn X, your hero attacks on X for 3 times and no more.

The damage is not consistent for me though. For tears/might Sandor, pressed attack does same damage as normal hero attack. For blood/mage Irina, it does about 1.5 times normal damage.

Regarding meditation, doesn't it supposed to give magic power bonus beside mana recharge?

Mine doesn't give any magic power.

Damn, not sure why my pressed attack only works for 2 turns....

When morale triggers, the 2nd pressed attack works and then it's gone....never had 3 turns....and this is casting pressed attack exactly before the creature's turn.....

If I remember correctly if you right click your hero in battle it displays that his/her power has been boosted by 20, but it doesn't actually affect his/her spells.

I think it should be concluded that the mechanic of some skills are wrong or it is the tooltip that is wrong or it is the skills themselves that is buggy.

OMG read my post will you? Try some experiments on your own. It is a blood skill (and it gives blood points) so it can be, that Blood heroes get an extra attack on 2 or 3 level of reputation. Now all you need is to try this out.
