Dear Heroes VI player
"Hello dear Heroes VI player!
As a player of Might & Magic®, we wanted to get your feedback on your experience with the Might & Magic Heroes VI video game.
We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to provide us with your feedback so that we can deliver the best possible experience in our future titles."
Mkay. Sure.
"Choose the language for your survey."
Mkay. English, UK.
"Choose the country you're from."
List of about 5 countries. Mkay. Other.
"Thank you for your time."
What.
"We're sorry! Your third world ass profile doesn't correspond to what we're looking for in this specific survey."
Oh. It's ok. No one outside the richest parts of the planet would disrespect their money enough to spend it on this piece of crap beta you're shamelessly selling for 60 euros anyhow.
If you ever need anything else, Ubi, just let me know.

"U mad, peon?"
But seriously, are there even any feet left for Ubisoft to shoot themselves in at this point?
And I kinda wanted that Rayman game too...

You need to draw a pentagram with a black candle in each end, sacrifice a goat in it, eat its raw heart and say "Ubisoft" six times.

When you're a fan-oriented company like 3DO/NWC, you die to bankruptcy. When you become jackass profit-oriented company, like-a-boss style, you last forever.

As a matter of fact, it's the chant of an European voodoo practitioner.

Only too true. It also helps that Ubisoft has quite a lot of money due to other, more popular franchises

I must repeat that 3DO was never, ever a fan-oriented company (in fact it espoused the jackass profit-oriented, like-a-boss style you mention). Just thinking of Army Men and Portal Runner gives me relapses of post-traumatic stress.

Alright fair enough. But I don't think they're bossier than Ubi. We've a player here who wants a lawsuit with them and a few more complaining about their ... Delux Edition orders? lmao. Or maybe because when I was playing H2/3, I was only a kiddo and knew not the skeletons in their closets? ohwell.

I don't want to derail too much, but I say 3DO (publisher) were the screw-ups, not NWC (developer) who were fine and dandy. If you want a fuller account of all that you can read here.

Quote: But seriously, are there even any feet left for Ubisoft to shoot themselves in at this point?
Lots of feet left, apparently. Cue one of Ubi's minions on the reason why upcoming game I AM ALIVE won't make it to PC:
Quote: "We’ve heard loud and clear that PC gamers are snowing about there being no version for them," said Mettra.
"But are these people just making noise just because there’s no version or because it’s a game they actually want to play? Would they buy it if we made it?"
Whether they would buy it or not, Mettra believes piracy makes porting games to the platform financially difficult.
"It’s hard because there’s so much piracy and so few people are paying for PC games that we have to precisely weigh it up against the cost of making it. Perhaps it will only take 12 guys three months to port the game to PC, it’s not a massive cost but it’s still a cost. If only 50,000 people buy the game then it’s not worth it."
