Since this thread has been mysteriously necro'd, I thought I'd add my two cents in anyway. I voted for the Grim Riders, just because they're cool as hell. For me, Dungeon was a disappointment just because they got rid of all the unique things from H3 Dungeon (Troglodytes, Harpies, Medusae... the latter two are hardly unique, but offhand I can't think of a single fantasy game I've played that has them in it - not counting M&M, of course). Instead we got generic Dark Elves doing generic Dark Elf-y things. The Grim Rider, though, is a Dark Elf riding a dinosaur, and that's pretty frigging cool. Hydras are also cool, but we've seen them before.
I mean in terms of gameplay I'd take Stalkers over Troglodytes any day, but they're so cliche. With Troglodytes, it was like, what the hell is this? I've never seen this before. It's like a weird lumpy thing with no eyes. They sucked, but they were kind of cool.

Black dragons are good especially if you're more of a might hero (immune to magic works to your favour)

I voted for Minotaurs they are a good all-round creature, I like the special 'bravery' also they look cool as hell!

Of course Black Dragons, but Brisk Raiders look the coolest. Also Blood Sisters are cool since they can be annoying for enemies.

I have chosen hydra
In NWC Heroes I would go with black dragon- although hydra was nice, dragons imo have had superior design
Besides, in Ashan hydras look decent and interesting. And dragons... are far less impressive

None of them because of bad Ubisoft dungeon design... purple and dark elves...
But then, Minotaurs. Why? because they are the ONLY real dungeon creature on the lineup!
(and Black dragons are hardly the same as """shadow""" dragons...)

Deep Hydras - they are ridiculously strong for a level 5 creature,can attack multiple targets at once,regenerates and you can't retaliate against them. Add Vampirism,Phantom Forces,good luck and morale and you got yourself a strong independent beast.
I'm curious,why did you put the primary form of the creatures in the poll?. You only play with them at the beginning of the game and are considered the inferior version.
