Altar of Wishes - H6 Expansion
Lets post here our wishes/suggestions regarding H6 expansion..
if you put comments or description
please use bold letters for ur "wish"
so it will be easier for developers to read it (i do hope/believe they will)
i will start
TOWN SCREENS - full screen/interactive/atmospheric
several petitions on different fansites showed how IMPORTANT are Town Screens for HoMM fans,
thus i dont think its necessary to go over and over again with explanations.
What is important is the High Quality of final product (town screens) to meet High Expectations
Would appreciate any information on how is the development process going / in which stage-state are Town Screens at the moment

if there is the slightest possibility that our voice will be heard
i think it worth trying..
who knows.. some suggestions may work this time..
i had a hope when started a thread about Town Screens,
even though we didnt get anything on release,
dev's promised to fix the abomination they presented..
and as far as i know they are currently working on it..
so i do have a hope now as well.. who knows whats in devs minds

Return of the old factions from the last game and a new faction:
- Fortress (Dwarves and Constructs): Prime-Light-Fire-Water-Earth (They are creatures of the earth, living in the snow but worship fire dragons. Also the three elements in the Norse mythology they are based on).
- Academy (Wizards and their creations): All magic schools (They are wizards after all....).
- Dungeon (Dark elves and underground monsters): Prime-Dark-Fire-Water-Earth (Worshipers of darkness who lives underground and have an history of destruction mages).
- Sylvan/Rampart (Elves, beasts and spirits): Prime-Light-Earth-Fire-Water (Opposing the dungeon [Light] but still has some similarity since they have the same origin).
- Free Cities (Humans who remained faithful to Ylath and have a social/political structure similar to that of ancient Greece, together with some creatures of air such as Pegasus, Drakes [the large MTG kind fitting to the role of a champion or elite] and Thunderbirds): Prime-Dark-Air-Fire-Water (Worship the god of air, and through not evil, the dark school both following the pattern [same amount of dark and light users] and showing the difference between them and Haven).
I think the first 4 are a most, and i would like to see the fifth one in any add-on.

well, I'm not fond of H6 so far, and not familiar with is, so it's hard for me to make suggestions...maybe
Bringing back alternative Upgrades?

Well, I've already made factions for H6 Sylvan and Academy. Would like Dungeon to come back too.
Alternate upgrades should be a number one priority.
Sim turns.
Laddering system for Duels.
Skill system revamp.
UI revamp.
After that, I'll be happy. Random maps aren't important.

Remove(at least reduce) the "cheesy" jokes from dialogues
they make the plot (which is not that bad) to sound ridiculous
and spoil the impression from campaign

More things to build in town...
Town management could use a little more options.
Thieves Guild
- Bring back the old school thieves guild... Each additional guild allows you to get increasingly more information about the map (location of various mines, artifacts, towns, etc) and your opponents (number of towns, mines, strongest hero traits, etc.).
- This might require some information currently readily available in the kingdom overview to be hidden again (until you build the guild).
- Currently there is a hero might ability that reveals the location of goldmines - this might be changed to "counts as +1 thieves guild", just as the ability that counts as +1 market place.
- Ive allways like that you could invest in an "intel-division" to help you get an edge on your opponents and plan your further strategy.
Mage Guild
- I like the new skill system i Heroes VI, so it is obvious that mage guilds cannot work the way they used to do. Still I really miss them as an integral part of the Heroes franchise.
- How a mage guild in Heroes VI could work:
1) allows purchase of scrolls (which should then be removed from the advanced marketplace)
2) small passive bonus to the "favored" magic school of the town-faction (e.g. a guild in a haven town provides +3% efficiency to lightmagic for all your heroes). Each additional magic guild (in other towns) provide an additional bonus, but increasingly smaller for each additional guild (same as marketplace)
- A combination of these would be fine I guess, since the extra flexibility from scrolls would be important in early game, while the general bonus makes the guild important in the late game.
- Guild could be a single building or a 3-tiered structure, requiring the corresponding town level to build. Tier 1 would allow purchase of low level scrolls. Tier 2 would allow purchase of high level scrolls. Tier 3 would grant general bonus to the favored magic school of the town.
Just some suggestions - what do you think?

Three main things:
1. Simultaneous turns. Derp.
2. Town screens that will incite orgasms. This is their opportunity to sensually 'wow' the user and engross them into the world, and we know they can do it because they did a great job with the presentation in H5. With a stronger graphics engines, they can make them more gorgeous than ever.
3. Make the adventure map more adventuresome. Right now there's a spam of buildings that give once per week bonuses and a deficit of buildings that do other miscellaneous stuff.
Of course, more factions is always wanted, but it's assumed at least 1 will be added in the expansion. Since they started off with 5 instead of 6, I would prefer they add 2.

From the balance thread, I'd love the development team to alter a couple of the resistances.
Necro should lose the water resistances in favor of 40% fire vulnerability and minor Earth resistances
Inferno's vulnerability to Light should be nerfed (or changed into Water) to in order allow healing like the Orcs. They should also be given higher Destiny values.
Sun Riders, Seraphim and Vestals should get the same resistances/Vulnerabilities Glories have.
Agony should be able to HEAL Friendly Infernal and Orcish troops. Undead should be immune to this spell AND to Regeneration.
Life Drain should work against Necropolis, but at a much lesser effect (50% less than usual for instance).
Make Ice Armor increase MAGICAL Defence, instead of Might Defence like Stoneskin.
Yuki Onna should be able to freeze their opponents, rather than chill them OR Chilled should give the affected creature Earth Vulnerability instead of Fire.
I think some of those fixes (but not all) would contribute really well to gaming balance.

Please remove all healing abilities/skills. I hate those easy-to-do flawless battles.. just boring!

I wonder if there's a slight possibility that we're not getting any expansions? There hasn't been any buzz about it. Wasn't Hammers of Fate out like 6 months after H5?
I just want my Academy-Dungeon-Sylvan trio. And a different campaign structure, no forced "everyone fights with everyone, including their own kind", that got really boring. Plus no Haven campaign whatsoever. That's all I wish for!
I don't think Fortress will be in H6, they certainly won't waste the first expansion on them, which I don't mind because the other 3 factions are way more important.
