Hi guys. Is there a way to get Phoenix mod working with this? I tried Phoenix mod light but the game crashes after selecting starting army and the starting army portraits are all missing.
Thank you.

Thanks Bersy that works great. I have another problem.
With a clean install of just ERA 2 (no phoenix) I have the same stuttering problem that someone else had at the start of this thread. Even in the main menu.
I'm using windows 7, running as administrator, no compatibility modes.
Heroes 3.exe doesn't stutter.
Thank you again for your help.
EDIT:
Never mind. The problem was on my end.
I noticed that the stuttering only happened when my mouse was moving. So I immediately suspected a mouse polling rate issue. Sure enough I lowered my polling rate from 1ms to 8ms and the problem is gone.

I have a problem with running ERA II. I have installed the program. When I try to run the game, an error message comes up saying mss32.dll is missing. What file is that? I had the same problem when I tried the latest WoG by itself.

You should install Heroes 3 SoD or Complete, then run Era II installer and select the same folder you installed original game at.

Quote: majaczek, please let me know when you are ready with scripts.
do you mean phoenix lite? (i have missed some serious SN commands in lite i must recheck some files)
do you mean files from SU? (you can get it from same site as wogmod, doom3d is already hosting a copy)
do you mean some files from SU synced with changes in your source? (sorry I didn't have much free time lately, i will look into later)
do you mean the package majaczek-scripts? (it's pretty complete but based on SU-lite which is unofficial fix for SU, so it may contain a few unfixed bugs from SU, i agree to include them in any packagage as long as folders with "majaczek" in name keeps the part of name)
if anything other - I don't remember what are you talking about.
PS: latest phoenix lite may be uncompatible with era2beta5 and era2final, because of the resetERA thing. please tell me if oryginal phoenix package works, i have to recheck a few things also

Language packs become not compatible with updated scripts because of ert. Thus I recommend enthusiasts to release their own updates for certain auditories.

Yeah some scripts from SU has corresponding ert files updated.
If i have time i may port changes for some other scripts.
I want to merge changes for "map options" first and also add two feature changes.
I would be happy to port *some* changes for script00 (SU has a few new standard macros definedd in this script) to become at least compatible with some another SU scripts.
If I have a few evenings free, and not spend it for studying, I may port all important changes from SU and add a few mine (you supported new features in already imported script patches, so why I wouldn't do the same?)
also there is demand to add function isbinarypluginenabled to era dll. It would return true (1) if theres any plugin with given name and any non-"off" extension and is not dummy patch in directory where era search for plugins.
It would be useful to detect if eg unlimited SS is applied and do different things in script if it is on/off. I will include then important fix for scripts school of wizardry and battle academy from me.
Also please uncap wog options numbers to have at least 500 availible.
I would be happy if my work would be included in official package.

There are 1000 of wog options (0..999).
About isbinarypatchenabled - it's WinAPI CreateFileA + GetFileSize + CloseHandle. But still, if you definitely use the functions, I'll add them (both for patches and plugins).
About including updated scripts in the packhage. After community testing, if you don't mind. It's quite annoying to maintain the whole project alone and constantly update packs, documentation, links.

0...999? really? i believe i used option between 200 and 300 and get some ERM error... weird. does uncaping support zsetup01.txt and *.ers files and erm commands? if yes then i must remember something wrongly.
Yeah the function could be mostly emulated by some filesystem command. But it will be pretty common function so it will be nice to just call it by 3 erm commands and not half a page of commands. Also command should be able to detect dummy plugin and if dummy detected the answer should be "not-loaded" (0). by dummy i mean proper memory patch file which just say "patch nothing" or file shorter than minimal valid plugin file. the reason for dummy check is that some mods use override system to disable inclusion of memory patch (the file that wins overriding is dummy). well for dummy *.era or *.dll there will be no easy check so any *.era/*.dll file with valid size should pass the test (or *.era is just same as *.bin? anyway the sentence is valid for *.dll).
The function will be definately used in erm scripts for compability reasons (eg. for "school of wizardry" and "battle academy scripts" it should not demand extra cost if SS types>8 and "unlimited SS" binary patch is enabled, but keep old behaviour if "unlimited SS" is not enabled - the script-side fix would be trivial - I would donate the patch with my own hands - but it would be a little bit more complicated without the pretty function)
EDIT: Yeah please threat memory patches and plugins equally for the function and make match for the part of filename before first dot (so calling function with parameter "someplugin" would catch in example files "someplugin.bin", "someplugin.txt" (binmagic files), "someplugin.dll" (complex plugins) and "someplugin.version237.dll" (multiple extension filename) but would not catch "someplugin.bin.off" (because *.off files are ommited from loading))

options.dat in 3.58 has the size of 4000 (1000 options, 4 bytes for each). I used 999-th option and one russian guy uses 77X numbers.
