Ah.. got "Mail delivery failed" reply ...
were to send era2 WOG crashlogs?

(and sry for double post, I can't login, cause of forum software. On every forum and everywhere it works fine, but here everytime I reset password it works for a few times, but then again it does not work for login, only for replying without login...)

Firstly, not all era scripts work in multiplayer, usually there is specified in each script description. Commander for example will not work. And be careful what mods you use in MP, not all are compatible. One which works 100% is Phoenix mod, but changes some game mechanics.

Secondly, Era is not good in multiplayer, all those scripts are mainly single player and not enough MP tested or fixed.

Nowhere in special, there is nobody taking care of that, it was 15 years ago. Now you can try to report crashes in the thread about the mods you are using (example TEW3 map if your crash occurs when playing this map)

The mods I enabled via era2 modmanager:
In the Wake of Gods
Overflow_Fix
Morn battlefields
WoG Revised
Fast Battle Animation
Daily quick save
Underground fixed
Estates displayed
Hero Adcanced Level Up
Spells uncovered

I disabled most WOG features, despite commander, transfer ownership, creature banks, new + enchanced artifacts, week of ressources, leaving artifacts, creature dwellings accumulate, ~ half of the Skill enhancements, 9th and 10th skill.

I remember I already played WOG some years ago multiplayer, when there was no era2. And everything despite the magic mushrooms and some of those new buildings worked well. I had not a single crash, but even more WOG settings enabled... I'm sure I also played with commander.

The "WoG Revised" does already add some better desription what should and should not be combined. I might have some settings enabled that say "disabled for network", but I assumed it will be automatically turned of in network, not causing a crash?

How can I find out, what will work in MP and what not, without doing "try and error" ? Can I read the logs? I already took a look at them, but I don't see anything that could be the actual error.

The only thing that looks like an error report are these lines:

I had the feeling, that Era2 is quite new and should simplify and improve everything. So it should have his own crashlog, wihch sums up, what mod caused which problem in which line or simular?!

I suggest disabling hero advanced level up mod then try again. Also your opponent must have same Heroes version and same Era version with exactly same mods installed. WoG mod should be at the very bottom, then wog revised just above then all others, no matter the order.

Usually crashes occurred in wog battles, not on adventure map or between turns. So this crash you have let me think something went wrong in both sides install.

thank you, I will try it that way next time... also I will try and error if this does not help, to maybe find out the cause...
But a proper log with mod/setting that is causing it would be really helpful =/

As mentioned in my first post about this crash, I copy pasted the whole Heroes 3 Complete folder , with era and hd mod installed, over to my friends pc. So settings and mods should be all the same.
Installation was first heroes complete, then era2, then via modmananger those mods, and then HD mod.

Have you tried singleplayer first, finish a random map or a custom one? Era can also crash because not compatible with OS (like win 10) or video card etc. if single works fine, then you may try multi.

Yes this is the wog crash log you already posted. It shows where the error comes from.

Yes this is the wog crash log you already posted. It shows where the error comes from.

testing singleplayer is easier, you are right.
There the only crash I had so far was begin of new week with HD mod.
Will test more...

I uploaded crashlogs to pastebin with expire date 1 week.
Can you tell me what exactly there helps me to identify the reason (mod or setting) for crash?

Don't waste your time with long reports, the only part which is pointing to script error, thus helps identifying the guilty one, is this:

All the rest is unrelated at this stage. Also unless you are erm scripter, all you can is pasting the error in forums -with a saved game if possible, and see if someone can fix it.

okay, and what does this mean? To which mod or Wog setting is this related to?

Well, as I specified in previous post, unless you are a scripter you can't know, so all you can is paste it in forums -with a saved game, then I will fix the script, if really error. But usually WoG revised fixed all errors, I didn't have any report after releasing it.

Commanders indeed are heavily bugged, if two humans are fighting (commander died at one screen, but still alive in other screen)
But do they work without problems, if human players are allied?
Is it not possible to make commanders also work in fights human against human?
At least WOG revised should include the hint, that commanders do not work in human battles.

And I think WOG revised should print a warning for every setting that is enabled, but is bugged in network games.


I tested again alone with 2 laptops multiplayer. But it is just not possible to play a single week without crash
The Crashlog at 2nd player after crash was this time something about "train new spy (if not present)"... but I have no enhanced Scouting, so I have no clue what spies...
After that I loaded the last autosave, but the crash did not happen again, so it is not reproducable, the same for the crash I already reported...
Some days after that the game froze at first players pc. A windows popup from Era was there, but also frozen with no text, so no clue what this window wanted to tell me, I had to force quit the game.

I think I have enough of Era2... I really thought HD and Hota are bugged, but seeing era2+wog ... this is just unplayable, at least in multiplayer, which is very sad.

Yes Era 2/wog are essentially for single player, allow endless modifications. Use Hota for multiplayer.

Hello all. I'm runing ERA II - WOG on my mac with Crossover and am having an issue where the "wogify" options won't appear both before starting a map and during the actual gameplay. I did a search for how to remedy this but haven't had any luck. Has any one experience this here and know of a fix? Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately I can't even get the wog options menu to open. Occasionally if I &#8984;+tab out of the game it will appear mid transition but won't stay on screen when I'm back into the game again, so I can't actually do anything with it.

Sounds like a bad install, reinstall doing these steps:

1. Install CLEAN copy of h3 SoD/Complete
2. Install Era II

What map you tried? Some custom maps block entirely wog settings.
