Never heard of anything like that. Anyway, nowadays Era is Wog + mod system and support, so what you install is what you get. For example, Safe SoD mod is pure SoD/vanilla but played under wog platform, without any script except some interface you can disable when game starts, but which allows modifications on the fly in your game, i.e. your game bugs, week of creatures blocks the game, freezes or other annoyances like that.

1. Hi, playing era 2 with hd-mod, but havent many it's functions: view artefacts in backpack, call hero to tavern etc. Is it normal or can set to use all that?
2. Could anyone give file or guide which makes animation faster, than cranim and fast anim mod? I know, that exists somewhere.

Check your HD settings, all that you mentioned is compatible with Era.
For fastest animations: Turbo wog

Is there an ERA pluggin or something that renders the Shadow of Death campaigns as Shadow of Death maps?
The reason I am asking is that I don't get how come Shadow of Death single scenarios are treated as SoD maps (Sandro icon on Load screen) while the campaigns are treated as WoG maps (eye icon on Load screen).
Is there a way to change that?

Hi. So recently I've been messing around with GrayFace's map editor(ver 3.3. Things went great =)). I have had a lot of happy time replacing stuffs and creating maps. However, there is this problem. I can't find any way to replace a TOWN def. I tried, but it doesn't work. So, it's there any way to change a town def in a single map?
Oh and I am using NEW OBJECT PATCH 1.9 as a wog file installed in my game folder and GratFace map editor 3.3

Such things are independent of erm and are mostly based in wog sources. Or the team which did that is gone since long time. For one, to find the answer to what you ask, he should know how to read the sources (which are public since last year), then search for your problem in particular. I know no one here able to do that, only in russian forums there are people working with sources.

Pity, it would solve some problems with the Shadow of Death campaigns, such as the wrong videos in New Beginning and Elixir of Life campaigns and the wrong Load Game icon.
If anyone knows how to fix this and/or is willing to communicate the problem in the Russian forums, I would really appreciate it. It is a bug that's bugging me for quite a long time now...

On few places I have seen an erm constructs like this in few ERA files or even here in this topic:
!?FU[RedrawHeroMeetingScreen];
But documentation does not state anything about being able to create a function with name instead of number. When I try to create a function with a name instead of number, ERM raises an error that it is "invalid function number".
So, are these things written in this syntax just for convenience and developer is expected to change [RedrawHeroMettingScreen] to a some number, or this is some undocumented feature that must be enabled in ERA?
I am using version 2.46

it is new instruction format from era 2.47
If you want to stay with 2.46 you need to replace function name with its number.

No. No such formats.
There you just need to substitute number of the function

How to know the WOG settings for maps that are designed for era2+wog ?
Eg. The Empire of The World 3 and 4 ?!
I can imagine that the map can get very easy or impossible depending on my wog settings ?!

Most of Era scenarios have their inner options and will prohibit wog settings, to avoid conflicts and such things you noted. Just install then play.
However, if I remember well, TEw3 asks you to pick a file from mod folder, which contains wog settings, tew3.dat.
Then when playing SoD maps, use Safe SoD mod. Will give same game play, but allow to avoid a lot of bugs.
Also all interface mods are compatible each other, so you can install them all.

thank you very much
But it seems alot of things do not work?!
- From HD mod the Shift-leftclick army does not work, to split army in heroes window... so I have to use the era mod for this?
- In TEW3 the hero has 10 secendary skills, but I can only see 8 of them, although I have the "secendary skills scrolling" mod active. Hitting the arrows simply does nothing...
- In WOG settings I loaded tew3.dat, but enabled the quickcombat option (which should let me chose before each combat if quickcombat or not), but this seems also not to work, regardles if quickcombat in ingame settings is active or not.
These are only the things I noticed after 5 minutes of playing, maybe there are more?
Can you imagine why these things do not work?

it works -I use it all the time, you must find the correct HD settings, ask in HD thread.

Dont use the secondary skills scrolling mod. You got a message on first day to not use it, read. if you selected the tew3;dat file, then you should be able to see all skills. press Ctrl + click on specialty to open additional skills windows.

As I said, scenarios/map won' t let you choose/change wog settings, for safety. You can get the regular quick battle from system options, thats all. Also I can tell you that you will be very unlikely use quick combat in tew, thats a hard map with all fights being hard.

Not need code for TEw3, that map has a dat file, allows display of all 27 skills and has a first day message telling to disable secondary skills scrolling mod, if activated. Just do it as in instructions and you will be fine.

Market of time in wog settings as the note, that it is incomaptible to "secondary skill scroll mod".
Is there a mod that allows to see 10 skills while being compatible to market of time and also compatible to enhanced estates skill?
(with enhanced estates skill said I should right click on the skill, but this is not possible with only showing 8 skills?)
You two mentioned code to show more skills.
Is there a mod wich has this code?
I know some programminng languages like python and lua. But the code you gave me looks ridiculous ?!

I think you are just not comfortable with WoG keys and shortcuts. For example, to learn how to learn new skills and how to show them, Video here
Then the plugin "learn all skills" must be activated in WoG (mod manager, right click on wog mod, select plugins)

ah, so I only need to hit ctrl+leftclik on the experience thing and I will see the other skills I have and can swap them, so the hidden ones are visible within the 8? I will try next time
Is there something like a crash report when the ERA 2 game crashes?
I tried today to play it LAN with a friend.
The game was installed on my pc, but only copy pasted over to his pc (since era2 mentioned somewhere that it is fully portable).
We first tried with HD mod, but after 2 days the game crashed at begin of his turn at his pc with HD crashlog I will send to baratorch.
Then we disabled HD mod and tried again. We were able to play 2 days more but then again, his game crashed at begin of his turn, but this time without crashlog, since hd mod was not active.
