It doesn't exist. You may store experience in !?BA0 (start battle) then check experience in !?BA1 (post battle), after doing all regular checks, he is alive etc. Then get the difference between the two values.

Hi,
I added custom music to the game by replacing the mp3 files in the MP3 folder.
This always worked fine but somehow with ERA II it doesn't. When I do it doesn't play my music for battles, for AI turn, but it works for terrains.
How do I fix this?

Because you must add it in your mod/MP3 folder, don't touch at the original game data. Era supports mod system. Then if it still doesn't work, it means your mp3 conversion went wrong, H3 is very picky about the right format and is quite old.

Yes that's it, my mp3 are not the right format. Is there an Era tool for that, or does anyone know what is the correct bit rate, sample rate etc for H3?

I am not specialist in, but by the past I had to convert a bunch of tracks to H3 format. Just use a good audio converter and look at an original H3 track particularities, they are specified inside. Then apply them in the track you are converting.

HotA is a project, one of few principal points for which are its quality and integrity. Is a strong demotivation to continue ever creating such content. That is why we strongly discourage any use of HotA's content outside of HotA.
Now, it does not mean that we stand against any other modders or projects development. Using others' groundwork is not the only way to develop content. It is a way in itself, but we willfully don't use it and expect the same attitude towards ourselves. That seems fair enough, especially taking in account that over time our artists have created some fully-public content as well as helped some interesting projects (like TSW) both with advice and with actual work without expecting to use it somehow later, in HotA. That is exactly the way we see modding work. Sometimes you create something for everyone (using or not using it yourself - doesn't matter), sometimes you help others to create their own stuff and the rest of the time - you create exclusive content that becomes part of your unique image.
I don't think that's a very sensible position to have, specially for a mod-maker. You are already using someone else's work as groundwork for your mod - 3DO's HoMM3.

It seems I found rare PO bug.
I use ERA 2.47, but it happens on era 2.46 also
once I fixed emerald a bit (from sources), so it didn't crash on saving game, I acquired the state with PO bug / MAF before even trying to load plugin save content

Could I get event or hook after OnCreateWindow but Before OnBeforeErmInstructions ?
I have problem with loading saves which occurs before OnBeforeErmInstructions and before OnSaveGameRead
I mean code patched in OnCreateWindow works fine in new game but loading game resets them :(

Emerald is almost fullly functional now.
I walked around the bug. It is almost bug-free now.
I did the trick in disabling parts on mod for time of saving and loading.
I didn't have the triggers event for this so I used keyboard/mouse events.
It works :)

Has anyone else noticed that the last SoD campaign, Specter of Power, is pronounced Spectre of Power in the SoD Campaign Menu? I don't know if this is a misspell from original Heroes or of the restore interface.bin filr from ERA II.
To be fair, both Specter and Spectre are correct, Specter is the American English spelilng of the word. But still, is there any way to fix this?

Can't load scenarios
Hi - all - got a big problem.....
Installed new H3 Complete - then installed ERA - newest version...
When i open WOG and want to play a single scenarion - a wogcrashlog.file opens - i did the installing procedure twice - but always the same - only the crashlog file differs. The WOG campaign works fine.... also H3 works well - there I can load single scenarios....
My second problem are the Mods - which I downloaded from salamander....
i expand them in "Maps" and also in "Mods --> Maps" - but they are not playable --- there is something , what I'm doing wrong :-(

So - after a lot of trying -- and reading in this forum - i solved my problem
the problem -- no starts of wog-scnenarios -- were the hota-files in the common map directory. I moved them in another subdirectory - and now - all is fine - without, when i want to play a single hota-scenario - i have to move them back - but that is no problem.
Also - now i can use all the wonderful maps :-) and mods -- thx to all developer and all, they were involved in making them.
After all - i have a small problem :-)
while playing the map (or mod ?) "The Dragon Lord II (V1.2)" it occurs, that on the battefield rhe creatures seemed to be somehow clones - i mean - sometimes there are a lot of stacks, but they are not there....
I loaded some grafik mods - but i can't solve the grafik problem...
(e.g. morn battlefields, underground fixed) -- but the grafik problem (bug?) won't disappear.
Maybe someone has a solution ....

A screen of the problem would help.
Other than that, before starting Dragon lord, check if its dat file (the author asks you to load it) has "new battlefields" option activated. Set it to OFF if is ON.

if you mean the "DLL(V1.2)readme" - i did so how it was told --- loaded "DLII (V1.2) SetupEX.dat" before starting the game...
I didn't change anything - run the map/mod - like it is...
By the way - how can I make a screenshot ? (I am not very used in doing that - but if it would help, i could make one..)

I just started to explore Era II.
Iīm confused, Wog is set as a mod you can disable, but I guess if you disable WOG, then ERM scripts in maps wonīt work right?
Assumming you canīt disable WOG for ERM scripts to work, How can I do to have SOD hero screen? Without the buttons for commands and god blessings?

WoG mod is the only one necessary, the other ones are optional.
Safe SoD mod for minimal scripts and SoD interface.

Im using HD mode with ERA. And the quick managment only work on the adventure map but not on the hero screen. Iīve been looking a Quick managment mod for Era 2, but I canīt find one. any solution to be able to CTRL click split in hero screen with ERA+HD mod?
