I repeat:
Go to Mods/wog/erapluggins
remove game bug fixes.era
For editor extract txt tables from WoG pac.
It can help. If not copy from version 2.46 era.dll and heroes3.ini . Its enough to downgrade. Old saves are redable too in this way.
Only 2 small files. Keep them if you want to have 2.46 version in archive.
Keep patience its still in progress! 2.6... is a history! All will be changed! So is no sense to make big analize of this version.

Are you sure this one crashes the game? That would be very unfortunate as this plugin is supposed to remove core bugs.

@Dragon
it's easy to "fix" this...
Just lower your music and sound volume from high to medium or low... i know it sounds weird... but i have the same problem and lowering the volume has fixed my problems.

@Bersy
I can confirm that lowering volume works no more crashes. You should investigate this because it's not happening on era 2.46 and 2.55.
Also when lowering volume, slider works but volume is the same
Thanks szaman

Dragon, thank you very much.
It seems, that invalid pointer is passed to sound playing system function. RoseKavalier, do you have any idea?
A few commands before the crash file "Military.wav" was played via ERM.
Baronus, thanx, I hope the fixes will be ready soon.

%20 means there is a space " " in the dll name, you can safely rename the file without spaces.
I'm not sure what the difference between the era and dll is (or if there is even one) since I did not prepare that file.
msvcp120.dll error message is strange, I will try to recompile later and change some settings.
@Bersy
I recall finding the volume slider solution some months ago on ERA 2.46 when I could not prevent Trainer mod from crashing (which coincidentally plays "Military.wav" and is on user's mod list).

*.era extension is the same as *.dll, but loaded after Era 1.9 components. Added because of backwards compatibility demand.
Ok, I will look at crash report again.
Val, change z1 to another variable, please. Guys will test, if it fix the bug. z1 is used heavily everywhere, thus it's better to use another variable for sound playing (which occurs concurrently).

I can change to z2n no problem, but this will require fix and repacking at least 15 mods/scenarios, including all those from Jim Vogan. If you tell me there is not other solution then I'll do it, but also then we'll have to add in erm help that z1 is buggy.

Funny.
If you rename
game bug fixes.era --> game bug fixes.dll
It works too. With 1) message but works.
So thats all. New version nearby so is no sense to delibarate it.

Tested newest Version 2.64
Map Editor Works again!
Three little things I noticed:
If I use newest Mod Manager and I select EraHD_exe it does not use it and takes normal Era_exe
In Commander Screen, the "Defense" is not displayed. But if I hover over it with the mouse it says e.g. 90 defense in the bottom line.
In Stack Exp Window in Combat the big red line is not displayed correctly (it's too big) where it says the creature has 0 exp from 100000 exp. Sometimes the last part is missing.
I use HD Mod Version 4.xx (but display error also occurs without HD Mod)
Good day
