Just updated to the latest, however, upon opening the game through the Era Start Menu or HD Mod I get this error:
Failed to load and compile Lua script.
cannot open DataScripts_core_.sys.lua: No such file or
directory
I noticed the scripting has been changed but I don't know if I'm missing something new necessary to open it. Opening h3era.exe by itself from the directory works fine though

So I decided to try the "new" Era and downloaded 2.7.3, but it keeps crashing.
is there a stable version out there, and/or is it really no use in updating at all? (the changes made are for modders)

Well, it NEVER crashes on my system, with HD mod, so instead of repeating that it crashes, what about you upload the debug/era folder so we can see what exactly crashes, because it certainly isn't a common thing.

Are you sure you have 2.72 or later? Because debug folder has way more txt files.

I tried both, I realized that a savefile from prev could most likely be causing errors, but a brand new game also crash.
I can see a small window ontop of era with something about missing files from delphi? on my D:/ drive.
Its only visible for a fraction of a second when ALT+TAB out of the crashed game

My game recently froze on an RoE Campaign map that I WoGified and I had to Ctrl+Alt+Del out. It was 6 in-game days in. It didn't really crash so I don't have a crash report, but could this be due to another possible matter that I'm overlooking?

@Bersy I don't know if this was reported to You, but the latest HD MOD update has broken ERA for HD.
After updating HD-MOD to the latest verison. ERA2 dosen't even start with HD-MOD. Without HD it works just fine.

Well, the only rational advice would be to stop updating when it works, is not Era's responsibility to keep compatibilities with further zillion HD beta updates. Here is the latest I have 5.0 beta 31 and I played the most complex maps with, no crash at all.
