Can you describe how exactly did you install Era?

I installed the complete version from GOG and then downloaded the Era from this website.
FYI, I downloaded for free. I downloaded from different sites to be sure that the game itself is not corrupt. All installers resulted in the same error though.

I tried executing in compability mode as you said but the problem still persists, same error appears.

It's on D:/Heroes of Might Magic 3 Complete
I use Windows 7

Is D your main drive? Try to install somewhere else, maybe simply the desktop. Just not under Program Files. Also when you install Era you do install it in the game folder right?

Please try this Era version on clean Heroes and see if now solved.

I install it in the game folder, where do I need to install it?

Same. While it was working some days ago, before I tried to update to the most recent version. Now, none seems to work.

I installed it on desktop and I instaqlled it in the game folder yet it didn't work. Seems like there is no solution to this

Hi, I hope this is the correct place to post this.
I wanted to play WoG, so I installed Era, but it doesn't work. When I try to start it, it gives me an error message saying
Assert violation in file
"D:_Soft_Programming_Delphi_source_SRC_Era_GameExt.pas" on line 489
Error at address: $4EFE532.
Message "Failed to load angel.dll"
I find it weird, as I do not actually hace a disk D on my computer.
I have the GoG version of heroes and I'm using era 2.7.4, both are freshly installed. I tried running it in Windows XP compatibility mode, but it didn't help.
I have Windows 10.
I've just noticed that Toastwich had the same problem. Did someone figure out how to fix that?
In the error message, slashes where deleted from the path, so I replaced them with underscores.

What a super we have a new ERA mode ... thanks to those who worked for it.
Who can help me with some advice about the new ERA mode ... I can not play any map from the downloaded sites. This error occurs to me:

hi dumi,
Make sure the maps you try to open aren't Hota. Other than that use Era map editor - h3wmaped.exe (you can link it to mod manager), it will open both sod and wog maps.

I'm going to go to the maps but not for a long time ... playing the game and blocking it with the same error as Excito and Toastwich. What a terrible way of creating such a beautiful and interesting way can not be played ... I hope someone can figure out what we are doing wrong to not play WOG

I never have any crash or error message, while running win 7 so I can't help. For working versions use http://mods.wakeofgods.org and http://mods.wakeofgods.org/era/ for 2.74, the one which works for me.

The explanation is simple we are beginners and you are a Salamandre teacher. 
Maybe I should give you access with Teamviewer to install you wog.

I have zero knowledge into debugging incompatibilities. I just installed heroes complete from Gog, then Era 2.74 and then HD mod, in the last. But I avoided like crap win 10, kept XP as long as possible and when support expired want to win 7 and will stay to it.

Well, the crap is the only thing that came with the new computer and I trashed the other one, so I can't go back to XP and I'm still not finding a way to use this version of Era.
Is there an old version somewhere? Before all the new work. At least with that I could continue the map I was making, I don't have any ideas that use the new stuff.
