from sagamosa page - but it may be long not updated. my "fixes" needs to be done once more since this were on megaupload (God Bless The America ) - neverthless the fixes once I remember was only lifting up AL level to HE level.

Is there a possibility for ERA 2.2 to contain something really new and shiny? Yeah I know there would be new API commands to register and check moving the tables (would it support reccurency? eg if same part of memory were moved twice? or it asserts it's moved once?) but it's really under the mask... would there be some features ported from MoP? You said they already have access to monster abilities which were hardcoded in 3.58f (inaccessible via stack experience) - it would be nice to having something similair in ERA
Anyway - Good Luck! - and if somebody has a link to newer version of Sagamosa'a Advanced Levels - I also want to know where it is.

Memory redirection is asserted to happen only once. Besides numerous fixes there is already only one new thing: files redirection.

In battle crusaders have gorgons look. Any lod/pac resources can be redirected on-the-fly and will be applied on the next call to LoadResource. For instance, you can have custom skins, different models for henchmen/commanders and so on. Sagamosa replaces one button in a battle if hero has ethereal ability.

WoW it's great! A file redirection... in the runtime!
However I worry if it would affect properly plugins with configuration files. If it's not natural ability for plugins - some plugins have to be fixed - and there perhaps should be API function to open a file which support redirection (which is hard to get once many programming languages differ the usage of files - but perhaps getting a path of redirected file basing on path of original file is enough).
I also would like to be able to use file redirection before any ERM script can execute - and now it needs to be a plugin. There's for example interface graphics switching, redirection of RMG.TXT while runtime, redirection of files used by pregame (hero speciality picture, hero picture, text from "starting hero" window and so on).
The "simple" file redirection feature gives almost unlimited oppurtinities! If it would be done well mods involving replacing some elements could be switched on runtime (the mod instead for example replacing graphics could just do a redirection to own files). Also it can make a few creatures use same creature numbers if ones do never appear together.
It's a bit under the mask but it's shiny as the Sun!

Sorry if I was not enough clear, but it's redirection of files in lods/packs by names.
SearchFileInLod (Name1) -> Era II code -> SearchFileInLod (Name2). So game asks fo txt/pcx/def "A" and loads "B" instead
P.S. Redirection on file system level is also possible to implement though, but it could be a mess.

Hello,
I've got a problem running h3era.exe (or h3era.exe_HD) after installing the package linked in the first post in this thread. Basically the game is quite slow (mouse cursor is slow to move, slow to update its state, even plain stops frequently, making it unbearable to play). The only menu in which the game seems to act normally is the WoG Options one.
I've tried installing and running this on both WindowsXP and Windows7(32bit), on 3 different versions of H3 Complete (one from GOG and the other 2 from god knows where) with the same sad results. Haven't tried on a SoD version but I'm assuming the results are similar.
I've got a different version of ERA/WOG which doesn't have this problem (1.81 I believe) but that one comes with more serious gameplay bugs for me so I could use some help in making the newer version work for me.

A "friend" of mine is installing ERA over heroes3 GOLD, Polish edition. The result is ERA crashes as soon as it starts. There however some exotic subversions of H3Gold - VCMI project which would normally run fine with polish version, has catched one person having such so it crashed. But installing Englification didn't helped my "friend", which one helped the another person with VCMI. So I wonder what exactly went wrong and if it can be done if my "friend" won't resort to buy another copy of Heroes3? I never had problems with just "running" ERA, so I have no idea what is wrong on my "friend" side....
