I remember that I had a version of HoMaM 3 Complete (or a mod),  and there was small interesting thing - when I wanted to pick up artefact or resource 1 square near any creature, it immediately attacked me.

Have you any ideas about this interest?

@Kegolo, map editor is not compatible with Grayface Patch. I had to design TEW 4 in Era 1.91 then move to later.

Kegolo, GrayFace's patch reads h3sprite.lod/h3bitmap.lod directly, does not know about new mods or txt files.

I have my human stack experience multiplier set to 10000% , but I feel that in previous era versions (or clean wog 3.58f) my creatures gained experience more faster than in era 2.3.
Is there any option to accelerate it? Maybe in script 78-wogify.erm?

The speed should remain the same, no need in scripts changing.

I was able to get the autosave to work the way I want it. It took some trial and error but now it works. It saves by day and sequential. First day is 1001_1, 1001_2 if saved a second time on day one, etc. I add 1000 to the day number for sorting. I used v9999 to increment the number, resetting it to zero when the autosave function triggers.


The only issue is it only seems to work with non wog maps. It doesn't work with Alexander the Great or TEW3. I guess that is because they wogify per their own scripts rather than what I have selected in my wogify options.


Oh, and I did figure out that the delay in displaying the load / save game dialog has something to do with the hd mod. If I run through era, I don't have any delay. I'm not sure if there might be a setting there but it's not too important anymore as the new quick save options means I only need to wait when I load.

Welcome.
About TEW and so on. If they are regular WoG maps which prohibit wogification, than you cannot apply the quick save script. But you can open map in the editor and copy-paste the whole script in new timed event.

OK, but 7th level creatures gain ranks very, very slowly. And I want to quicken it. 10000% multipier is low for me. There must be some way to do it .

Is this that string? If yes, what shouls I edit here? -

Thanks Salamandre, worked as I imagined.

But is there any option to increase speed of gaining XP for human players? I want fast exping for all my creatures. This was my primary question.

Of course that I use it!!! But 100000% is slow for me . In script 78-wogify.erm there must be a string to increase it.

I guess there may be a good reason they limit it at 10000. You can try experiment bigger, but I bet you will get strange results:

Delete those two lines and suffer:

Why not just give all Ace rank bonuses to your creatures at level 1? What's the point of leveling if you do it so fast?

Hello. I've check out these forums on occasion. Thank you guys for all the wonderful mods you have produced so far. I read up on ERA II abit and got a bit excited because the interface seemed quite user-friendly. Unfortunately, I have been able to get it to run except once where I tried it with Hero of Light's mod. Ever since it doesn't open with any other mod.

This is my error message:

I'm sorry but Ihave no idea where to start with the troubleshooting at all. :-p



I tried adjusting mod priorities by adding adding numbers to each name file but it doesn't seem to change at all. I'm sorry I really am a bit clueless as how to run it.

Do you mean HoL 3.1 or 3.2? Because 3.1 requires New Objects Pack installed first.

I meant 3.2 Bersy. I downloaded the special pack you uploaded.

I was using the starter to try and edit the name but realized I should have edited it outside. I am a bit confused as to how it exactly works. I renamed the files and when I renamed it to have priority it runs. But when I exit the game and try running it  I can no longer do so unless I rename these files with different numbers again. And when I try loading different settings in the WOG options it has my old named folders still.

At one point I had the options for TEWIV on as well so I segregated the different modpacks from the mod folder. I've tried to turn off certain MODS in the ERA starter menu but I can't seem to do so.

I've tried running it with WOG as the primary mod and no other major mods in the MOD folder but still have to go through the same process. I've reinstalled the files but still encounter the same problems.

THank you for replying. I'm sorry If I don't know what I'm doing at all.

Game\heroes3.ini, change Debug=1. Run the game, upload eralog.txt.
I'll try to find out the problem. If I fail, you'll have to reinstall the game.
