Quote: There is an update in the first post to version 2.43. Try it first. Secondly, it's preferable to keep h3 folder not in program files but in d:\wog or smth like that to ensure that game has necessary rights for files. And the last thing to mention is check that h3era.exe has no compatibility settings in file properties.
oh sure, you put that info out now... after i found out why era 2.4 wouldn't work. thanks, bersy.

Is not about how era works, but how creepy are win7-8 when read from program files (which is the default path for XP games). If someone wants to use them, make sure he knows the restrictions before yelling it does not work.

are you implying that you already knew this? if so, then one could deduce that the help you gave me would have been purposely misleading...

that's windows 7, for one. i'm using windows 8. and man, i WAS using windows xp before the computer decided it didn't want to work anymore. didn't you read MY post?
of course i did a search for windows 8, it was the first thing i did when i got back on the site after i got a new computer. i didn't find anything related to rights issues, or anything about installing anywhere BUT C/programs. if you had read my post, you would know that i exhaust all other possiblities i can think of before i bother asking for help.
but, funny how you didn't answer my question... so maybe you WERE deliberately misleading me? i seem to remember us having this discussion before...

The red fonts are usually used by a moderator. Now, if you continue to troll me with "you deliberately mislead me" I can eventually get a moderator to fill your post with red, but you won't like the content.

1. i'm not trolling you.
2. do not threaten me.
i was waiting for you to come clean. you still haven't, after two posts, so i guess you won't. the red text is there for anybody to use. if you look to the left when you create a post, you will see that you can do the same thing. but i see why you keep changing the subject. it is simple misdirection. forget it, salamandre. i will expect nothing else from you.

we cannot upload the entire heroes game, that would be against some rules somewhere. era 2 should work. all you have to do is install your heroes 3 (with the disc) to somewhere OTHER THAN the "C:" drive (try the desktop). then, run the era 2 exe that is in the first post. should work.
btw, what is your operating system? xp, vista, windows 7 or 8?

kisakalle, paste here WOGERMLOG.TXT
Probably the error is "Index is already used". It means that you'd better delete Data\s folder with 3.58 scripts.

"Thus it was that Sandro, in a fit of jealousy over the livies ability to dream, took a few of the undead steeds that were normally used by the black knights and began "working" with them."
I read this in the WoG Features. Why Nightmares are "alive" and not Undead?

Yes, exactly. And Death Ripple hurts them. But I read "Took a few of the undead steeds that were normally used by the black knights", so for me they should to be Undead.
It's only IMHO

The Undead do not dream, so Sandro had to to combine undead steeds with living steeds, forming a new creature which is neither alive nor undead.

Hiya all!
I hope this isn't the wrong post to ask this, but I got a minor "problem" (more of an annoyance really) after installing ERA II...
The game keeps saving after every turn accumulating a lot of save files, all reading for example like this: 1_Purple_End.xx. They go only up to 7 days but still.. Is there any way to get the normal autosaving back (autosaving after every turn in a SINGLE file named AUTOSAVE.GM1) without losing ERA II?
I just got back into playing HoMM3 again and already had WoG installed, but then stumbled upon ERA II while looking for new maps. Worked fine with just the WoG, btw.
Thanks in advance!
noob... err, Seze out
