Then do the following step by step.
1) Install new copy of heroes in D:\WoG
2) Download Era 2.46 (check that its size is > 70 MB). Run Era 2.46.exe. This will launch an instakker.
3) Select D:\WoG folder in isntaller dialog and press "Install" or "Next".
4) Proceed to D:\WoG and run h3era.exe from it.

I did everything exactly like you said, and I have the same issue.
Part of the problem may be that I have Windows 8 and they have all that administrator rights crap. I'm the only one that uses this computer and I have administrator rights on, but at the end of the Era 2 install, it asked me pry 4 times if I want to install "installmod.exe." I pressed yes all four times but it doesn't actually install it, just put it right into D:\WoG. Could that have anything to do with it?
I appreciate the help.

Do you have TeamViewer? I could try to investigate the problem "in-place".

I m really intersting and gratefull for this mod.
I m asking some questions ...
Does it works well on multiplayer game ? Is there any crash ? If it s well installed i mean. I would like to try it but i don t need some features of WoG.
I don t play with commanders and experience stack for example. My own goal is to make fog of war at each turn, and create some objects to control as the redtower observatory (fog of war looks like a RTS game )
There are a lot of features among those 60, and some of them looks good to me. I see a mod who can enable WoG options but certains options, and not all figure on the screen.
Second question is about the secondary skill (armorer, logistic, scouting). I was searching for balance and i found something on Celestial heaven but no answer.
I add a thread from myself (Malax..), you can take a look for these balance creature change (nb: i stopped the game since 5 years.. but all feed-back are welcome).
Thanks to readme and sorry for poor english langage (Balance patch).
NB: Heroes WT seems correctly done, i m installing it. But actually i only need two options : fog of war each turn and improve auto-resolve combat. For now i ll balance my TXT change smoothly according to Heroes WT change's.

RedDawn, you just need to download TeamViewer free from official site, install it, run it. Post in PM your unique ID and password. I connect to your PC and try to find out what's going on.

I downloaded it and I also actually placed my heroes game in C:\WoG because D: is my Recovery Image.
Anyhow, I'm assuming "PM" meant "private message," so I sent so a "Instant Message" containing the info. I believe they are the same thing.

For Windows 8 users:
1) Turn off you antivirus software if you cannot install the game/mod. Some low quality antiviruses delete files silently and even do not allow you to participate in judgment process.
2) Work only with "D, E.." disks (not "C") or your user folder in "C": "Users\UserName\...". Otherwise you'll have a plenty of problems. Act as administrator.
3) Install Heroes3 and Era 2.46. Check out using right click on game folder that attribute "read-only" is unset in properties!!!
4) If unpacking was successful and h3era.exe file presents, launch it.
5) Nothing happened? Do not panic. Right click on h3era.exe, properties, compatibility - Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Then it works.
6) If it does not work, you can try to turn off DEP. Google will help you.
7) If game hangs during your experiments, launch task manager first (ctrl+alt+del - task manager), options - stay always on top. Then you will be able to kill h3era process any time.
8) Win 8 sucks.

Hi i have problem with installing mods. I've installed fresh SOD and Era2.4. Every time i try to install mod archive there is an error "couldnt find installmod.exe". This file is present in the Tools folder.
I have win 7.

Unrar the modname.exe on your desktop, with winrar. Open the folder (mods) and copy the mod inside, now open era/mods and paste inside the new mod. Enable it with mod manager, this is work around if problems with batch commands.

HoL v3.2 keeps crashing when i pick up artifacts
Hey everyone, i recently installed era 2.46, HoL v3.2 and HOMM3 HD 3.63f on a clean HOMM3 complete,and the game runs awesome i loaded the HoL v3.2.dat wog options that came in the RAR file. After about 5 - 10 mins of game play if i pick up any artifacts the game comes up with access violation inaccessible data it also says Pandora's box and it then crashes, i have tried turning of artifact wog options and had no luck, it cant be a bad install cause era 2 and HoL 3.2 were both SFX RAR archives that install themselves all i had to do was select the destination. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem i did search google but found no results.
My system specs are:
Operating system: windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
CPU: intel core i7-2600k
RAM: 16 GB

In Era 2.5+ there is no need in !!MR:S anymore (you can use RedirectFile).
Anyway, here is the code to enable the trigger:

Bersy, yes I can upload a save but not right now I'm currently on holidays, won't be back home for another 2 weeks I'll upload as soon as I get home. Also what do you think it could be? I'm generating random maps to try all the castles tried about 5 got the same crash when picking up artifacts.
