Where would Archie be ? (H3)
I'm no expert on HoMM lore although I can say I know a thing or three.
Where would everyone's favourite ironfist (right!) fit in Antagarich? Necropolis or Dungeon? Definitely not Castle.
I'd say Necropolis, if anything, the Necroes came to Enroth and served him during the Succession Wars although he was a Warlock hero if memory serves.

Archibald is the head of the Necromancers' Guild in Might & Magic VII, so there you go.

FYI, canonically Archibald somewhat "turns to the Light side" in the end or at least that's the impression that he leaves when he last makes appearance in any M&M-related game.

It occurs to me that the entire Half-Dead campaign in H4 could just as easily have had Archibald as its protagonist instead of Gauldoth. MM7 even seems to set this up.
But I guess the new guy was invented to prevent any chance of continuity issues.
