I might be gone for a while
Disclaimer: This is not intended to be a look at me // attention thread. No offense intended. Please be respectful, you are free to not read this post and aren't forced to write here.
So I usually don't bother informing, but after reading Will's nice thread intro I figured that it might was a tad disrespectful of me. Also considering I often hear that I was missed when I return or asked what happened to me, I guess it'd only be polite to inform.
My schedule is changing, which it does approximately 4-5 times a year (you might have noticed I've long periods of absence during each year). From tomorrow my schedule will change once again. I don't know as of yet how much work load I'll have to deal with exactly, but if it's a lot, which it is occasionally, I'll not come around here for some months. I view this place like a type of mental relaxation, or a type of procrastination. I view this place in this way, because I've gotten familiar with how easily ones times can be devoured while being active around here, even just to pop in (no offense intended). I have experienced whole days pass by at times and when thinking back, it was often funny enough, but it wasn't really want I ever wanted.
What more is I have for a long time, too long, taken a very relaxed approach to my studies. As such I would really like to actually focus much more of my attention on my studies. It would be nice for a change. This means that it's even more likely I won't be nearly as active, if at all, during the next couple of months until my schedule change again. Even if I should fail to live up to my hope, odds are that I'll still have work that needs my attention.

You mean you are capable of not drifting to this place or some other leisure site while you're on the computer? That's more than what I can do. I don't even bother making such commitments because I know I'll never live up to my expectations. I have a -3 willpower saving throw. In fact I didn't truly learn until recently (I suppose due to pride) that the best way to overcome my habitual playboy lifestyle is to throw myself into situations where I am beholden to other people in some way. That will force me to be responsible.
Anyway, if this is an issue for you I'd recommend joining a study group where people expect you to show up somewhere at X time. It's something I never did, but looking back I think it's an incredibly useful trick for somebody like me.

Not much of a test if you pretend to be something you're not. Lady luck is not impressed. Then again the tests are ******* in the first place, half the time I was required to identify cheap tactics to throw students off-track, seriously???
