Adrius, Adrius, Adrius... you goddamn man. This game is fricking brilliant.
The battles are good enough.(not my kind of genre. =P)
However the HC characters are spot on and the story is hilarious. I was about to die when Xerox enter the game. XD
Dunno know what to say really, keep up the good work. 
Mad props to you, awesome sir.
Pff, Azadrius, easiest boss in the game.

I'm experimenting with an Active Time Battle script (think FFVII) that makes the battles a lot more intense.
Also tried to incorporate an Overdrive system (again, Final Fantasy) but the game likes to blow up with that stuff. So many numbers... god...
Also learned a few design tricks to make the enviroments more interesting.
Still learning the system. It has limitations but with a bit of creativity you can make some pretty interesting scenes.

Not to mention a great artist can gimp together their own tilesets if they're good at drawing sprite graphics =)
Great job so far. Keep up the amazing work.
If you want to look into those RTP links I sent you can get a lot more diversity also for your tilesets.

Yes but you can only have one tileset imported.
So to make your own scenes with many different unique tiles, you make a rough outlining of the scene with the RPG Maker, and then screenshot it and export it to photoshop, and then add all the unique tiles you want manually, and then save that image and use scripts to put it as a the background of your scene (which you have put transparent tiles all over in order for the background image to show), and then script events so that the player doesn't walk through the "background" walls and other features that aren't "really there" at all.
And that's just one scene.
So yeah, tedious as hell.
I found some pretty neat battle sprites though.
The main problem with having HC members in the game is the lack of face graphics, there's simply not enough that actually fit the members.
I'v considered skipping the portraits entirely, but they do add quite a bit of emotion.
Right now I feel like doing something else entirely so I dunno haha.

I think your avatar and Azagal's avatar would work as faces. And just photoshop the hair from Azagal's onto yours, add sunglasses and you have Azadrius =p

Yeah but it's about consistency and immersion... such a face graphic wouldn't fit well together with any other sprite I have.
You probably didn't notice anything special about it while playing the demo, but all of the chibi-sprites, face graphics and battlesprites were carefully selected to match each other.
Everything has to fit together, one style throughout the game, no immersion breakers. I'd rather have no portraits whatsoever than a wide mix of different styles.
I know I'm being obsessive over details, and many of you reading this are probably going "dude it's just a game based on a forum" but eh, I need it to be good. If I didn't care about consistency the demo would hardly have been as well received as it -rather surprisingly- was.
I'll see how I'll solve it, hell I might just decide to do nothing at all since you aren't paying me since I'm kinda short on time that I can procrastinate right now ^^

Ahh~ RPG maker, how many times I downloaded it and spent the 30-day trial over and over and over again.
Downloading the game now(in the middle of school none the less) and while I am hoping, I know that I don't know Adrius well enough for him to having added me into the game 
Anyway, Adrius, if you ever need help with the procject, I am more than willing to lend a hand!
EDIT: Also, how did you get passed the 30-day trial thingie WITHOUT paying for RPG maker? I've yet to figure that out, but I know my cousin managed to get around it. I've only downloaded it, used it for 30-days and then redownloaded it and get new 30-days.

EDIT: Okay, why are the skeletons immune to eldritch bolt? I am getting tired of having to beat them with my ineffectual fists as an altarist!
EDIT2: Turns out the skeletons arn't immune to eldritch bolt, the random number god just hated me and made me miss all the skellies...
