I do most of my posting in the library Mocara because that is where the various strategy topics belong. You won't visit the library because those who post there lack the 'pedigree' and credentials to change your mind about strategy. How is it then that I smoked you both times we've played?
You are on one extreme of the elitist side of toh and the 'morons' you make fun of are on the other side of the extreme. You know that the truth is in the middle. I once thought I knew everyting there was to know about the game before I had joined toh. Yeah, I joined toh. I had to just to get the damn time of day on the Zone. Luckily there are people like Greystole who are willing to give new members a chance. Unfortunately, most tohers don't have a smidgen of his class.
You've been doing a lot of flaming lately my friend. What's up? Not getting leid enough? Work got you down? Can't find anyone to play H & R tactics with anymore? LOL. Talk to me.

Well anyways, I run ToH. And I have no issues with this post.
However, If you plan on flaming ToH though because of a certain players you do not like, you will have to flame me too.
If I repeat myself a billion times again, there are 1000s of players in ToH, having issues with one 20 of them does not make up for everyone else.

Hmm
Well i must say this is a very odd thread and not TOH related. Sure it is Heroes related.. but.. not TOH.
Oldtimer did alot of work to let us know about all these other threads related to heroes 3.
WHen i first started coming to these boards i spent most of my time in those threads and not the TOH thread, even though Ii am a TOH player. THere were other TOH players too, that used to post alot on those other boards.
But you know, it went downhill quick too many childish posters making 100 post a day with nothing to say but NO or yea i agree and other lame one word reponses filling up the good threads with nothing but BS.
And now when i come here through TOH site it leads me right to the TOH board, and thats great.
I think the TOH players appreciate the overall atmosphere of the board, it is not full of a bunch of 15 year olds posting lame comments. For the most part it is directly related to TOH only and thats what we like.

Well as you know me I would probally get mad at such words but not this time for 2 reasons
1)most toh'ers dont like to read & have time for this kind of thread.
2)I dont see it fit having toh'ers & the library together shoot to much friction look what happened when the tavern people threaded in here it caused enough friction where, well never mind that I think you get the point.

How many times did you ZM me and tell me how you would get this person mad or that person mad.
All I want to say is;
Yes you beat me when I first came back to heroes and had been away over a year and on 2 maps I'd never seen.
I had no idea my being cordial and playing you on the maps you picked was somehow increasing your self esteem so that a year later you could boast about it.
I'm not going to issue some MACHO challange like you would and say "You couldn't beat me on this map..so cmon." or some crap like that.
That is YOUR game man.
I play for fun and playing someone who takes this crap SO seriously is not fun.
I was brand new and just learning this game and was gracious in my losses.
For you to come out and talk like that now shows the classlessness that is indictative of those who could never cut it in ToH and ran to other venues where they could actually pretend to be somebody.
Yes I AM a ToH elitest as you call me.
Simple fact is we are better.
We are the best in the world.
Now get back to posting with the kiddies.
You don't play here.
You couldn't cut it here.
You are nothing but a bunch of angry type with no record to back up any of your words.

Look, the reason for OldTimer posted the Library's Table of Contents was because of a previous argument Ironmlh.
He stated and I wholeheartedly agree that certain threads that were posted here did not belong in the toh board but in the library.
How many threads have been posted here in the past that had nothing to do with toh? Hmmm? How many "SirEmperorElric's eatery and tavern" threads have popped up here? How many creature strategy threads have people(mostly newcomers) posted here? Countless, agreed?
What happened to those threads? Well, they either were deleted or sent off to the appropriate part of the community; with the exception of a recent thread on 6th level creatures. Normally, that thread would have been moved. Why wasn't it? My guess is because some of the 'best of the best' of toh posted thoughts such as, "I don't care if there are multiple threads on this topic. Since this is toh and only members of toh post here and since only they have a valid opinion I want this post to stay here." That is not a direct quote but the gist of their argument.
Sounds elitist? Sure it is. You can't make them and say that you're not trying to sound elitist. At least Mocara is unapologetic about it.
Speaking of which, you've made some pretty strong comments about me and my character, things I have said and done, etc.
I am of course compelled to set the record straight.
First, I thought what I said about your personal life was humor, nothing more. You weren't supposed to take it seriously.
Second, I never called you classless. I made strong comments about tohers in general. How many times have you gotten IM'd on the Zone and the only writing is "Rank? Points?"
Third, unbeknownst to you I was engaged in something of a war of words with some other members of toh. One specifically had dropped from a game that he and I were playing. Immediately I went back to the Zone and called him out for being a coward. He responded by telling everyone that I was a cheater. Thereafter, whenever I saw him on the Zone, I'd send him nasty grams.
Fourth, don't ever a accuse me of being a non-hacker. I enjoyed the competition of toh and had a great time. Unfortunately, about a year ago my wife and I got into an argument. Her final response was to take a hammer and destroy the computer. Needless to say, she won that one. I haven't had the money to get a new one and I only am able to post here through a computer at work.
Fifth, the one time you've seen me on the Zone in the last year was because I was on a friend's computer. However, it was impractical for me to start a game I would probably have to quit and never be able to get back to.
Sixth, I've never been banned from the Zone. You pulled that one out of somewhere--I don't know where.
In summation,
What I thought was some humor laced with something serious turned into something much worse; strategy threads belong in the Library(imho); my apologies to those whom I've unfairly grouped as being classless.
Finally, even though yer a cock-smokin' sonofabritishsoldier Mocara, you're all right in my book.

I can't play a game if I do not know the rules.
Where I am coming from is you saying you smoked me in 2 games that I enjoyed a great deal and learned a lot in.
That kinda bugged me a lil so I flamed you back.
Now as for the ToH elitest part maybe we have different definitions.
I have NEVER sat up a room that says 1600+ or whatever and NEVER refused to play someone based on rank.
In fact when I was 1597 and Prometheus was 900+ I played him everyday even though I knew he was every bit as good a player as I am and if I won I won 0 pts and if I lost I lost 40 per game.
Things like this do not concern me and I have equal disdain for those morons who play for points and act as if having a high rank somehow equates to having high skill.
When I say I am a ToH Elitest I mean that I firmly believe these players in general play at the highest level in the world.
The other leagues are filled with players who tried ToH and got beat up badly and sought refuge elsewhere.
The downside of all this competitiveness is many ToH players lack character and play dishonestly.
But I am confident HC will take care of that as well as they can and the rest is spread by word of mouth.
Meaning players who cheat and do ANYTHING to win are somewhat ostracized.
