Why do all the balkan countries hate each other ?
This is something I've noticed a lot. Both in YouTube comments about Eurovision Balkan entries and IRL.
So there is this guy in my class with bosnian descent. He speaks it fluently and regurarly with his mother. So basically he thinks that all those wars in Balkan were stupid and pointless. I told him Serbia got a nationalist president now and he thought it was horrible because all those wars were caused by nationalists. And then somebody asked what he thought about Albania.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!
According to him, Albanians were all terrible, unemphatic, evil and greedy people who only care about themselves and try to occupy every single country they move into. Everybody hates them and for good reasons. They are the scum of the earth and almost worse than the romani people.
And this is a guy who once long ago called me a racist because I didn't like somali immigration (but now I've brainwashed everybody into agreeing with me)

Ye'h romanis are like locusts, once they deplete a land they move on, and dumb as hell. Whereas Albanians live in the the pigsty that they have created (which is worse since it cancels out any probability of recovery) Simples

I am from Romania and I never noticed any animosity against other surrounding countries, maybe Lizard Warrior could tell better he is still there. And youtube comments as source...come on, you are not serious.

It's not just Eurovision where Balkan countries are all bitter rivals. The world of sport also see hatgred between Eastern European nations In particular, there's still bad blood between Serbia and Croatia and are often in each other's faces at major sporting events the world over. I've seen footage of such anger and violence at a tennis grand slam, especially as a Serbian player had a match against a Croatian opponent.
