Although I am not a fan of Mesopotamian-/Egyptian-/Mayan-/Whatever-pyramids-building-culture themed undead, I must say, that the artwork looks promising.
And for the hero - when exactly was Arantir born? I would like to see him much more, than Sandro

So does anyone know if they're adding the town screens with 1.5? Or just teasing them for a later patch? 
@Valen-teen any idea if that's yesterday's 13th or today's first new one?

In Heroes 5 Markal referenced his old master Sandro, and seeing as how H6 takes place before H5 I was kind of surprised he wasn't in it already. They have to put him in sooner or later. Town screens would go a long way towards appeasing the fan base, seems nearly everyone has been snowing about them non-stop.

Well based on some hints from twitter the Czech community has come to the conclusion that it may be Crag Hack.
Because one: Sandro was not that often in Might and Magic. Mostly only in Heroes.
Because two: We dont think Sandro would headbutt a demon :-)
And there are similar hint to Sandro as there are for Crag Hack

I am inclined to agree. As I said yesterday, Crag Hack is a real option. The headbutting a demon thing is a good argument. And I doubt Sandro would refer to people as: "ya".
So I'm taking back my money I put on Sandro and I'm putting it all on Crag Hack now.

They hero they are revealing now must be Crag Hack, but I still think for the same reasons that Sandro will also return.
I wonder how exactly they will be 'implementing this new change'. Free patch? Free DLC? Paid for DLC? Full expansion pack? It doesn't exactly seem like patch material, but on the other hand they are making it sound like something they are giving to the fans. I'm both guessing and hoping it is a somewhat large free DLC.

Very, very unlikely. If it was "just" fan-work, Ubisoft would not make such a big fuss of it. No it is likely the (concept-)art of the upcoming townscreens.
As for the question of how it is going to be distributed, it is a good question. Seeing how Ubisoft is going on about it and how "The fans deserve it, for putting up with the disappointments of Heroes 6"(my own paraphrase) I suspect/hope it's free. Wether it's patchcontent or free DLC, it hardly matters as long as it is free.
